Re: KL Takes Into Account Possibility of AFKL Breakup

People do seem to have very short memories. In 1996, AF was the 3rd biggest airline in Europe with a 13,2% market share (after BA at #1 and LH at #1) with KL sitting just behind at 11,3% In 2003, the year of the so-called merger (which actually was an acquisition of KL by AF) AF was #1 in Europe wi...

Does the Brazilian government want to support Embraer? They should in my opinion. If the government does not want or cannot support Embraer, they need to survive on their own, or get acquired by another company. Is Mitsubishi a good option?

Exactly. AF saved KLM. Thank you for that. But that doesn't mean AF can just sit back and relax. KLM currently achieves 70% turnover for the entire group, while AF is twice as large as KLM. Because, at least in my opinion, side sticks are the future. The aviation market is moving to side sticks. Most clean-sheets today use side sticks. Look at the A220, KC390, Legacy 450, Legacy 500, Praetor 500, Praetor 600, the MC-21, the C919, and pretty much all fighter jets today. They use side s...

If Trump wanted to do the right thing he would let Boeing go bankrupt (which would erase the debt) and bring in new owners/management. No need to bail them out. I agree. Boeing said they absolutely will NOT replace, add something to, or upgrade the MCAS computer. They will only write a few new lines of code. Unacceptable in my opinion. Boeing is indeed too big to fail and will be rescued for a number of reasons including the massive jobs that would be wiped out if Boeing were to go under, the fact that Boeing is a defense contractor, and its role and place in the American economy. This will definitely be the case. COVID-19 has saved the MAX program in my opinion. Yes it does. I recently switched over to P3D v4.5 from FSX and swapped everything I could over to P3D v4.
