Panama have two regular services from Europe, Air Madrid have 2 weekly flights direct to Madrid. Iberia have 3 weekly flight to Panama City with Airbus 340.
And finally the Lauda Air charter service between Milan and Panama City.

Well this is not the first Airbus 340 that visits Panama, The president of Taiwan visited Panama in a China Airlines Airbus 340-300 few months ago.

But of course some people at the airport was excited to see this new flight.

Yes, that was the aircraft N280AT it was a ambulance plane that crashed into the Evergreen Hangar in Tocumen. Evergreen moved to Marcos A. Panama is working hard to bring back the category 1 really soon. Maybe Copa will start the flights as soon as Panama get the category 1 in June or July if everything works as planned.
