I'm sorry, but style and glamour were non-existent when Southwest came about? I'm not sure if you know much about their history, but their original flight crew uniforms and the ones all throughout the 70's and early 80's were about as stylish as you could get....you show me some pictures of flight a...Jump to post
I'm with Northwest, but I am a huge Southwest fan. I overhear fellow employees, at times, making fun of <acronym title="Air Namibia">SW</acronym> employees, the airline and whatnot. I'm sure Southwest is not going into this in the dark, dont'cha agree? Like mentioned above, probably 100% of <acronym title="Southwest Airlines (USA)">WN</acronym>'s long hauls, and there are plenty, are done with the 73G, which will have the winglets. Hey UAL 777...I sure hope SJCguy recieves more respect on his long haul flight than you provide for us on this forum. You really give your airline a bad name, and that's probably the last thing you want to be doing right now seeing that you may not have a job in the near future. Kiss SJCguy's feet f...Jump to post

For some reason, and seeing your reputation on this website, I'd say SJCguy would be somewhat foolish to supply his confirmation number in fear you would delete his entire reservation. <img src="/discussions/graphics/rolleyes.gif" ALT="Insane"> <acronym title="Seattle / Tacoma - International ...Jump to post

Treated like a criminal if you come near the airport? That's why you don't fly? Security is up because of what happened on 9'11. If you can't come to terms with that, and why passengers are scrutinized more than ever, you don't belong in the skies bro. But you show them, and not fly. <img src=...Jump to post
You guys aren't following me. I have buddy passes on my airline, <acronym title="Northwest Airlines (USA)">NW</acronym>. I'm flying out on United coming up here this summer, internationally. I bought a coach ticket. Some of my colleagues at work have told me to bring buddy passes when you fly on a normal ticket, and see if they wont take your pass in exchange for a first class seat. SJCguy- I feel your pain. It's funny how some of these responses are from people who probably have no clue, or had no clue that the engines have that capability in the cowling. Plus, at least out West, 99.99999999% of the time, the pilots do not use them therefore, touching the engine for whatever r...Jump to post

AZJ, as much as I think you like to hear yourself talk, or type, or whatever, we did not change our livery because our old one was too expensive to maintain. The first airplane ride I took was when I was 9 months old, from San Fransisco to Detroit on a Northwest Orient DC10. The first DC10 that I can remember ever flying on was in 1992 from Seattle to Detroit. Ever since that flight, I fell in love with that plane. The sound on take off, that grrrrrrrrrr...Jump to post
The 757 door is different, the "knob" is sort of angled, and each side folds out pointing at you, and then you rotate it to open the door, the 747 is the same as the 737 only vertically on the door, and the 777 has a different kind of knob that I can't remember... hope this helps.
Nice message to the industry and customers, thanks for sharing!

It seems strange that AA would remove them upon aquisition of the MD80's and other aircraft...why would somthing of help such as this be such a characteristic of very few airlines and only those airlines?

Looking from a non-rev standpoint, how easy would it be to standby on one of these flights, preferably on the flights operating widebodies. Um, could you run that by us in English BR715? They aren't improving safety by doing the manual demo because statistics show passengers pay MORE attention to the video demo than the manual demo...think about things before you respond so confidently...
