Flying isn't dangerous if everyone involved adheres to the proper procedures and protocols. However most of these were drawn up without the foresight of this pandamic. Last year I worked as a AMS ramprat, sometimes even KL 744's full pax had a one hour or less turnaround window with disembarking, cargo, catering swap and cabin cleaning, security check, boarding etc, the whole nine yards, kinda impressive to witness

Its not only a cashflow thing, DL has to maintain their partnerships with other companies that are based around their airports. No flights means less/no jobs for these people. This might continue on for this month of May. It all depends on current supply and demand of cargo. Right now it's no longer economically viable to fly with pax, hence the all-cargo flights.
