Icelandair is doing a sale-leaseback for 2 767s with conversions to freighters. Aircraft replace 2 757 freighters. Hate to see fewer 767 pax with Icelandair though. http://www.globenewswire.com/news-release/2021/03/10/2190636/0/en/Icelandair-Group-hf-Sale-and-Leaseback-of-two-Boeing-767-300ER-aircr...Jump to post
Hey guys. I don't have anything to add to the current topics. But I just wanted to say that my Atlas Air information will soon be grounded. I have decided to leave the company to purpose a different sector of aerospace, rockets. Nothing going on right now in the company anyways. Most of the 747s are...Jump to post
Having worked for Trego Dugan, I'm not surprised at all. Trego Dugan is the most garbage company in the industry. Management lacks management skills because turn over is so high within the company. Stupidly wild throw from far right field... Maybe Amazon brings service to SDF? Shepherdsville has quite a few Amazon warehouses and last time I was out that way there were a few of the Amazon style warehouses being built. There’s a cargo airlines called UPS with a massive hub right up the road fro...Jump to post

I would take snow over ice. The ground here in Central Kentucky is literally ice. There's a solid 2 1/2 inches of ice on top of my truck. Even wet snow I'd take. At least its easy to clear. They can't clear our roads here and we're due for another round on Thursday that's supposed to drop 4 inches o...Jump to post

The initial jets for Atlas had weight/performance issues. That caused Atlas to pass on them and take later builds. So did Boeing fix the issues or did Qatar get the frames at a discount price for having issues? The overall State of Qatar was in a bind during the time period where Qatar Airways nabb...Jump to post
Kentucky getting hit AGAIN with winter weather. Less than an inch of ice and then anywhere from 3-12 inches of snow. Should affect CVG, SDF, and LEX. Pulling out the snow shovel for this one. Also. I was looking through pictures. Does anybody know why Atlas didn't pick up N770BA, MSN 37564, assumin...Jump to post

Meltdown (or freeze up) in SDF this morning with ice everywhere. Many flights cancelled, worker shortage due to road conditions. Probably a couple of days to get the system back to normal. Central Kentucky got hit again last night. All the ice from the last storm melted just a little bit and then r...Jump to post
N659GT flew today CVG-MIA. It has been moved over to the Maintenance area for change of ownership. Going to Amerijet...….. So far Atlas has transferred three -200s to Amerijet. 656, 657, and 658. Leaves just five more in the "Giant" fleet. Unreleated. Looking at aircargonews and saw an ar...Jump to post
The only private planes that I can recall that have their operators name splashed across the fuselage. Donald Trump and Peter Nygard. Enough said Floyd Mayweather. New England Patriots. Drake. For anybody interested, DHL and UPS are probably gonna take massive delays this morning, 11FEB, out of CVG and SDF. Mother nature decided it was time to make life hell and drop some ice over Kentucky. CVG may have been spared, but SDF should be getting hit with ice. Expected to keep falling until ab...Jump to post
There's another thread about this somewhere.
But I could have swore he leased 3 RB-211s and had one on stand by at all times. New York doesn't want him back in the city and with it being winter he's gonna be in Florida for awhile. He may be in no rush at all to get it fixed.
I was just in China, Korea, and Japan last week and even their ground crews are vaccinated and had to be in order to even work.
Yet I am not.....

Knowing the legends of Connie, I have to notice that it also looks like a string-bikini top, or part of one at least.
Speaking of liveries, looks like Kalitta has a new "special livery." They're adding a painted mask to the nose of N744CK, similarly to what Cargolux did with one of their 747s. Adds a little bit of flair to one of Connie's flying queens. https://twitter.com/JetTipNet/status/13591734681520...Jump to post
Small correction, Southern pilot training is also down in Miami. They stay a different hotel from Atlas pilots, but they are down here as well. Also hopefully you’ll see an attitude change with the brewer pilots who came onboard recently. Ahhh, I knew the 737 pilots did training down there, didn't ...Jump to post
Do tell! Easiest way to explain it is like a distant cousin family tree. Obviously Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings is at the top, HQ in New York. Then you have Titan Leasing off doing their own thing. Noticed something tonight: Since 2/1/21, Atlas has been using N1511A on non-Amazon work. This is an all-white 767-300, of which Atlas flies 4 with -A tail numbers. Two of the 4 white ones, despite the tail number, are not actually dry-leased to Amazon but are normally used as maintenance spares for...Jump to post
Been flying in and out of NRT the past few days for S9 and an Asia Pacific 757 has been sitting in the same spot both times. Not sure if I’ve just been there during lay over or what. Don’t have a tail number unfortunately. But I’ve been through during the day and night and it’s sat.Jump to post
Feel like the hours and cycles are wayyy up there. Depends on the age of the frame. There's some that are just barely over 20k hours and cycles at some of the US regionals. If someone planned to fly it, rather than keep it as a static display, why wouldn't he just buy a 763ER instead, the way the Google guys did? (I guess they bought a 762, actually.) I highly doubt Amazon has the scale/volume to get costs lower than UPS / USPS in rural areas. While the Fx relationship is cold right now, it would be easy to go that route again if needed.
