When I first saw the video I thought it was an SP too, but it turns out the aspect ratio of the video was affected and gave it that effect. I saw a video on LiveLeak of men shooting at an airliner and had to investigate this. Of course, where better to do aircraft photo research these days than airliners.net? Turns out it is an Iranian Air Force 747-100 bringing aid of some sort to Syria. Before I knew one of Iran's 747s had it, I notic...Jump to post
Thank you very much for posting that. This all takes me back to when Paulo Emanuele passed away some years ago. His contributions to aviation enthusiasm are seen through so many that have reached out with...Jump to post
Thanks guys. This is something that we are pushing, and we've spoken to a few major media outlets about the topic already. We will also be approaching PANYNJ about it to see what can come of this. Again, even if they officially ban photography on airport property, at least there is that guidance for...Jump to post

Cory, I'd love to help you out. I have a few friends who have worked on a few elaborate shooting situations that may also be able to come up with a solution for you hopefully. Please shoot me an email, phil at nycaviation dot com.
We'll multily your anet acceptances soon enough!
Thanks guys. soon7x7, gizmodo is a sizable tech website. You should pursue them and I expect that they will actually do the right thing by you. If you can screenshot me the ad if you see it on my site, I will see what I can do to prevent its appearance. I think it's so very important and people just...Jump to post
This is an article I wrote about copyright infringement in our hobby. For all of my photos uploaded here, I always refused to add watermarks because I wanted people to be able to use my shots at desktop wallpapers and I didn't want to alter my shots out of fear of theft. With that, however, I went a...Jump to post

You guys seem to be talking about the AA hangars, which have nothing to do with the hangars affected by the CTB rebuild.Jump to post
Here are photos of landing... http://nycaviation.com/2012/02/photo...lufthansa-makes-its-maiden-flight/
The -8i looks photoshopped, like it was just stretched haha.
LGA was built before airport security limited people without boarding passes, and it's been difficult post-9/11 to build shop beyond security.
Those hangars are actually United hangars. The AA hangars on the west side seem to be unaffected.
Looks like LGA is getting closer and closer to having a set pan on what they are going to do with the Central Terminal Building. I don't stand to represent anyone, but I don't think anyone that was "involved" meant anything negative towards the shooter. You're good people, Nate, but we shouldn't put words in anyone's mouths.

I just love me some helicopter anus! haha But seriously, some people here are very quick to cast judgement, going as far as to insult the photographer. Quite simple, really. All you have to do is wait until after your flight is over, make it so that you're literally one of the last passengers off the plane, and ask someone up front (flight attendant, pilot) if you can take a photo in the cockpit. Sometimes they say yes, sometimes they say no. That'...Jump to post
