So it is pretty possible that a lithium ion ignition caused the fire, but what if the fire was set deliberately? It isn't likely, but then again, the idea of it is not impossible. But then again, who even knows of a motive for whoever set the fire....

772F is the obvious MD11F replacement. Have Boeing set an end date for the 772F yet..?? Or the 77WERBDSF, or whatever it’s called, surely that’s gotta be a contender ..? Can't the 777F carry a slightly more payload and has greater range? And also, isn't the 777F more often used on long haul sectors...

Since basically it's common knowledge now that Delta is gonna keep at least most of its 752s throughout the middle of the decade and then at least half of them by the end, would it be a good investment to put scimitars on top of the existing blended winglets? Not the split scimitars like on the 739s...

May I humbly mention the Dornier 328JETs? I don't know of many operators right now. Off the top of the head, I think theres some UN plane(s) flying into Africa, the Taos Air planes, and some in Europe but I don't know of many others.

It'll probably be put up for scrap. Too few 727s in service all of which hog parts. This plane is probably going to be a parts donor.

I would have a bit more hope if these 2 birds at least had the CFM engines. Definitely. This bird for sure does not have at least hush kits so its likely barred from operating anywhere but in countries with lax restrictions. So its not coming back. Perhaps someday Trans Air Cargo service of the DR ...
