I'm a CRJ-700 fan. Not too big, not too small. Sounds great during takeoff. Can be boarded without having to worry about jetbridges or external stairs. Has great field performance. Fixed a lot of the -200's problems. I also love the E190, but it blurs the line between small mainline jet and large RJ.

How is the crj 550 doing on sales and on the routes? UA seems to like them. On the fleet thread it's been discussed how they intend to eliminate single-class RJs at EWR entirely, and the 550 will play a large role in replacing existing 50-seat capacity there. I can't imagine the CASM being too good...

Not really an expectation, but before my first flight I had no idea that jet engines make a buzzsaw sound during takeoff. Sitting ahead of the engines on my first flight, I immediately fell in love with that sound.

On the flipside we're seeing lots of LUS A32x flying at LAA hubs such as DFW, ORD, and MIA. AA has done a great job at fleet integration to the point where keeping legacy equipment in legacy hubs doesn't really matter anymore.
