Re: Wizz Air and Air Baltic (and other airlines) plan to fly around Belarusian airspace

Flight Radar 24 posted an image not long ago on Twitter of a Wizz FLIGHT (IEV-TLL) and an Austrian flight (VIE-DME) bypassing Belarusain airspace. No doubt we will see more doing the same later.

London to Washington on the Queen of the Skies in Club World

Towards the end of April I paid a visit to Kemble airfield outside Cirencester in Gloucestershire. This is where seven British Airways Boeing 747-436 aircraft were sent for retirement and scrapping/parting out. While there I realised that one of the aircraft, G-BYGB was actually an aircraft I flew o...

Re: Why did you fall in love with aviation?

I think for me it was because I grew up around aviation. My parents were based in the RAF and we served on a couple of air bases. Our first trip away in the late 80's was to Australia and I think that is where I got the commercial aviation bug and have loved it ever since.

Re: Flight Sim - Round the world (and Africa and back) in the PMDG 737

I've begun a similar thing with a Cessna Slowtation. Switzerland - Greece has taken me a few days. I like doing shorter hops, because the biggest fun in flying is trying to land at every suitable airfield along the way - under the real weather conditions. I never check the weather at the destinatio...

Re: Flight Sim - Round the world (and Africa and back) in the PMDG 737

This was a good read, thank you! Sometimes I’m also doing around the world trips but usually in smaller planes like the Carenado Saab 340 or PMDG Jetstream 41. That’s quite fun as well. Did you use any scenery? If so, especially in Africa I’m interested to know which ones you used. Hey Park, thanks...

Flight Sim - Round the world (and Africa and back) in the PMDG 737

Having some....spare time on my hands at the moment I thought I would do a little bit flying on Flight Simulator (FSX) The little bit flying turned out to be 43,094 miles and 107 hours of flying!! I started off by looking at real-world schedules (sometimes having to go a few months out due to airlin...

Re: British Airways Club World Upper Deck on the Boeing 747 (My Final Flight on the Jumbo Jet)

Excellent report, thanks for sharing. I've often wondered, if there were an emergency, and one had to evacuate by slide from the upper deck, would your pants spontaneously catch fire by the time you reached the bottom of the slide? Thank you for the comment (don't forget to watch the video as well,...

Re: British Airways Club World Upper Deck on the Boeing 747 (My Final Flight on the Jumbo Jet)

Its amazing how this seems so nostalgic now. Im glad you were able to write this up - and the daytime eastbound is rare too. My last 747 trip was back in 2017 on BA from SFO-LHR, i wish i had written a trip report now, hindsight is a wonderful thing. It is indeed! I always take photos and videos on...

Re: British Airways Club World Upper Deck on the Boeing 747 (My Final Flight on the Jumbo Jet)

Very nice. My wife and I had a similar experience westbound coming back from our honeymoon. seats 64A, 64B. Did you take advantage of the Arrivals Lounge? The arrivals lounge is only open until just after lunch if I recall? This flight arrived just after 7PM so it was closed. Right, I missed the fa...

Re: British Airways Boeing 767 - Club Europe Trip Report (Video TR available as well)

Nice trip report. I always enjoyed flying the BA 767 on intra-European flights (VCE, GVA, FCO, MAD, BCN, CDG, back in the day) but didn't like the way BA configured some of them for TATL operations. Flew it a few times from EWR to LHR and back in 2007. Miserable experience. Thanks for the comment. ...

A nice read. Never managed to get on a 4 engine small jet (and sadly doubt I will) so my travels will have to be through these kind of reports. Thanks

*VIDEO TRIP REPORT* BA Upper Deck Club World - LHR-JFK

Airline: British Airways Flight Number: BA113 From: London Heathrow (LHR/EGLL) To: New York JFK (JFK/KJFK) Aircr...
