The progress I did on the concorde this week. While the airbrush worked well on one side, the other, it spitted and I had to clean it. Tried it again on the underside and it worked this time. I did the other side well today and I'm going to go for another layer on the underside https://i.servimg.com/...Jump to post
Hello, I'm asking because when I look for period artwork or pan am desktop models from the time, I often see variation between the liveries, the flag will be in different position or no "pan am" on the wing and I haven't found yet a artwork who correspond to the revell livery (For mine, my...Jump to post
It's been a while but I'm getting back at my airliners and my airbrush (ha a broken part that neded to be replaced not so long ago, now it work). I decided to re-do the primer layer of my A320 neo from revell because I had to re fill the join and get them better and I didn't do the first layer well ...Jump to post
Hello, while looking for a revell boeing 767 300 ER with this livery, I looked for information on the airline and it ran from 2003 to 2007 and operated 6 767 300. If the airline was more succesful and added more destination than the one they planed in the UK, would they get more planes? If yes, what...Jump to post
Hello, by curiosity, if the Tu 144 was more successful and the ussr decided to export it, would they allow it to be sold to the western airlines or only to the warsaw pact one?
Thanks for your anserws and sorry for my absence, I know it's been a while.
It's been so long since I haven't posted an update, so here's one. My motivation for my concorde came back, I'm done sanding the underside, now it's time to do the wing top. https://i.servimg.com/u/f38/20/32/47/80/dsc_6757.jpg https://i.servimg.com/u/f38/20/32/47/80/dsc_6757.jpg The last liner kit I...Jump to post

Didn't post my fixed concorde wing and stab. It look much better now and I also started renovating a old heller A380, hesitating turning it in a A380F or A3XX 100F . https://i.servimg.com/u/f38/20/32/47/80/dsc_6727.jpg https://i.servimg.com/u/f38/20/32/47/80/dsc_6728.jpg https://i.servimg.com/u/f38/...Jump to post
Hello, did they expected more airlines to get thier plane or the customer airlines getting more after their first order? The number for the boeing 2707 are verry optimistic, same with the concorde when reading pierre sparaco book "Concorde-Histoire d'un mythe". The number for the SST come ...Jump to post
I was at my modelling club meeting this afternoon and decided to work a bit on the concorde there when I remarked my horizontal stab weren't symmetrical, cheked the wing and noticed I didn't did it properly so I unglued then re-glued it and now I see why I had a big step to put putty on. https://i.s...Jump to post
Hello, I'm working on my heller 1/100 scale 1964 concorde project, but I have difficulties figuring out what color I need for the inside cowling. I know part of it need to be black, but I'm not sure for the rest. Can anyone tell me what color I can use for this part? It seem to me be a metal yellow ...Jump to post
My point is that it's not lazy, the concept show they worked on it and clearly spend time and effort on the livery, I don't get how you can't get my point, are you going to say air france livery is the same because it's eurowhite despite the amount of work that went in the rebrand?Jump to post
it's not a bad thing, and sorry but its not lazyness, people who dislike eurowhite should really stop with this one for me, I'll give lufthansa and air france as example, lufthansa did lots of concept for their livery with diferent color, same with air france when they did their 1975 rebrand, here a ...Jump to post
I don't agree with the idea they are similar or that eurowhite is dull, I think it make the aircraft look cleaner and I'd not say air france eurowhite is the same as lufthansa or that lufthansa is the same as LOT because of difference in color, name and tailJump to post
I'm done sanding the nose and I found some verry interesting and simple to do air france livery concept from 1975, so I know what to do with my easykit https://actualites-air-espace.blogspot.com/2019/03/et-si-le-logo-air-france-etait-different.html https://www.sebastienbouyssou.com/2009/02/13/air-fr...Jump to post
Another odd thing is when air crash investigation has to blur registration letter for some reason when they show certain plane. I don't get why is it such a issue to photograph an aircraft for them, it's not liek the pilot/passenger will be that visible (depend of how the pic was taken) and what's t...Jump to post
Got the boeing SST today and... I can't my 1/200 scale revell concorde in pan am livery because the pan am logo are too big for concorde, I may do it either inspired by FWTSA or one that was ordered by brannif in a calder livery, not sure when brannif expected their concorde to arrive.https://finear...Jump to post
Hello, asking because this link on british airways liveries history seem to say they at least considered it but decided not to do it because the blue paint was problematic (why?). link to the liveries https://www.yesterdaysairlines.com/ba-l ... -2015.html
Thanks for your answers!
got the revell boeing SST today, one will be pan am, the other braniff flying US color livery from alexander calder (boeing brochure state an entry in service considered for 1975, so it's still valid for a what if braniff aircraft and they had 2 option) https://www.scalemates.com/products/img/7/0/2/...Jump to post
from a brochure from theairchive.com website, they also targeted 1970 for the first flight and saw thing really big with 500 by 1990 at least and they expected the sales to reach 1000 to 1200 (note the brochure date from the time the first concorde flight was scheduled for 1968, it was delayed for a...Jump to post
Hello, reposting it because I didn't knew I needed to mention the source, I got information on the SST first flight from the french book "Concorde-Histoire d'un mythe" by Pierre sparaco, edition docavia. something that I don't like with some people who complain about sam chui being bias is when they act as if other reviewer aren't when their taste and standard will influence their reviews as well and sam acknowledged airlines are going to use im for PR in his skytrax video and I do agree with him th...Jump to post
Got the first 2 revell boeing 747 I ordered yesterday. Even the one who writte their reviews well can still be not 100% objective, that's why I prefer to watch other reiews channels than just oneJump to post
I'd say subjective because each reviewers have their own standards on what make a flight good even if they want to be the most objective possible their own state can still come in and the experience will vary with everyone, sometimes 2 aircraft from the same company can be in different state (sam ch...Jump to post
assembled the wing yesterday wich putted less trouble than I thought they would. I glued them bit by bit then putted the concorde on its stand to see how it look https://i.servimg.com/u/f38/20/32/47/80/dsc_6713.jpg https://i.servimg.com/u/f38/20/32/47/80/dsc_6714.jpg https://i.servimg.com/u/f38/20/3...Jump to post
landing gear and engine are done. They're quite well detailed taking in account the kit is from 1965 and base on a 1964 project. My step dad got me a heller 1/125 scale concorde wich I'll do as the 8th concorde air france had the intention to get, for some reason website varry on the concorde option, sometimes only 7 are mentionned for BOAC and air france, other 8. https://www.scalemates.com/products/img/7/7/3/1368773-10105-6...Jump to post
I've seen picture of it in light sand so I'm doing it in that color. I closed the nose and glued it on the fuselage. Didn't thought it'd be longer than a 1/144 scale 747 8F.
