Re: Austria to introduce minimum price for plane tickets

I find it quite reasonable, the ticket prices in Europe has been way to low to sustainably support the airlines unless a race to the bottom in regard to working conditions has been running. It is ridiculous that you for the same price as taking the train or a taxi to the airport can fly from Scandin...

SAS released a financial results for Q2 and interesting remark I found in the presentation for the future network strategy post covid-19: "Maintain CPH as main long haul hub, right-size selective routes from OSL/ARN with A321LR". I understand there will be no widebodies in ARN and OSL any...

Re: old 70s/80s alliance question

KLM, SAS, Swissair and UTA had a lot of cooperation on the technical side. For examples they co-purchased DC-10 and co-develpped the KSSU galleys. I know UTA joined later and might not have been part of the joint DC-9 acquisition KLM, SAS and Swissair did.

Re: Wideroe dash8 STOL replacement: ATR S series?

With the Government of Norway having said that they want a fully electrified domestic flight network in the coming years, I am more seeing WF being an early bird for an electric prop whenever that might be launched. I guess the sector length is of no limitation here, when you know how short hops the...

Why would a lessor want to end up owning an airline with severe cash flow issues? I have a hard time seeing the red nose succeed with this.

Yes but they were not flying any Across now. The Braathens Regional Aviation division closed a few weeks back when the final Avro was retired. The crew were "expensive" so Braathens decided to wet-lease from WDL instead.

Re: SAS new livery?

What new livery? The fuselage is already white. If you think the fuselage of the current SAS scheme is white, you need to adjust your monitor's colours or get your eyes tested! :) So what color is that officially? Has it always been beige like? Kind of smart, the plane will not look dirty, especial...

Re: AF to order A220, replace A380 with 787 or A350?

So, AF orders A220-300 while KLM orders E195-E2. That's interesting But one orders 60 + 30 + 30 (firm + option + purchase rights). The other (E195E2 order by KLM orders, if I remember correctly...15+15? Where there also purchase rights? Interesting enough is that there is no press-release at all on...

Re: SAS new livery?

Maybe a refresh is in order, but I hope they don't go the way of Lufthansa and United by making it more monotone. I like the red contrasting engines. All the new ground equipment that SAS Ground Handling has revived the past year or so has not been warm-red, so I guess we will say good bye to the r...

Remember that SK has forced all new captains to only work 80 % for the last year. So as soon as they have got promoted they have to reduce their employment from a full time to a 80 % one. And naturally with a pay cut to 80% of the salary.

Weren't some bonds due in May (remember I read something at DN a while ago)? I assume the interest on the new ones will be significantly higher than the current ones if someone is willing to risk their money.

Re: Norwegian today reported its full year and q4 2017 results. The net loss was -299 million NOK (-£27.4 million) in 20

What is kind of worrying is that the EBT was -1,067.1 mn NOK for the full year which means that they without tax returns had a significant loss. And they most likely will have to revise their profit for the year as they probably will have to change how they count their ownership of Norwegian Finans ...
