DLH is going to be a harder sell than RST, but I agree, someone would likely take it. I feel like F9 would be a better fit overall than UA to DEN, simply from the standpoint that it would be a LCC in a market that has none (although UA already has service, which is a plus). Still, for DLH, my bets ...Jump to post
Are people not reading the comments above? It’s confirmed - UA to DEN 1x Daily on a CR2, starting 10/1 Which... opine note, is a very nice add in the middle of this pandemic. Only a matter of time until DLH gets DEN service too IF DLH wants to do a revenue guarantee like RST they could probably fin...Jump to post

EI dropping MSP isn't surprising. UHG has practically cut all corporate travel for the time being as has Medtronic. Add that to the issues that U.S. citizens have trying to get abroad currently and its a recipe for failure. I'm sure in a few years it will return.Jump to post
Calling Nashville a "third-tier" city is pretty comical and completely invalidates your argument. The city is a booming business city and has long-cemented itself as a tourism destination that continues to grow its int'l side. BNA is planning for a better future and more int'l flights tha...Jump to post

Not shocking with how little United is flying the airbus around. Less flights = less mx. Saw the occasional G4 through the facility as well, but when your main customer says no MX needed for the foreseeable future, it's obvious what will happen. I suppose this won't be the last MRO facility to shutd...Jump to post

Random, possibly non COVID-19 item. Was searching for tickets in late August for MSP-DTW for a wedding. After the non-stop, the first connections offered were via BNA. Surprised me as usually it is CVG or the random upper peninsula cities in Michigan which can be fun to randomly connect in when the ...Jump to post
Just another update at BNA.. Airport is dead. It’s kinda unreal. It looks like 1996 after AA closed shop. The Florida flights I’ve worked so far are barely booked to 100. TSA probably takes 40 seconds. Here’s hoping things are back to normal by summer... I think you are going to see that at a lot o...Jump to post

No, it means that the application period closes on the 16th. You can apply anytime before then.

I have a Disney cruise scheduled for September. A 4 night out of SAN that goes to Cabo. Looking for something this summer on any cruise line with my wife, but will be limited to 4 night cruises most likely. Custody agreement with the ex doesnt lend itself well to personal vacations and limits avail...Jump to post

If we didn't have a large WN presence, I'd agree, but I think the US3 will be content having large spokes here. Domestically, the primary focus of MNAA needs to be making the case for a WN megastation. I'd argue if you have the chance to get a legacy to come in and expand you should do that over ab...Jump to post

Good morning, Yesterday I posted a thread regarding a flight DL flight diversion while I was onboard. Within a few hours it was locked and I was unable to update. There was one comment from someone who was not satisfied that I was not updating the thread fast enough and this person suggested to loc...Jump to post
The last "green field" airport built in the US was Panama City, FL-ECP; it opened in 2010. KXWA, Williston, ND opened Oct 2019. I believe that it the last green field commercial airport built in the U.S. You both are missing the word "major" in the subject. The answer is likely ...Jump to post

I really wonder how Sun Country is doing in BNA. I've heard they do pretty well. It's just with competition, it makes you wonder if a small airline with little market share will hold on. DL/WN covers MSP, WN/AA/DL/NK handle LAX, and WN is getting on with PDX. They have MSN starting. It was requeste...Jump to post
It would be interesting to see how much leakage occurs from Duluth to MSP. The drive time is around 2 hours and all interstate. Not to mention the 6 or 7 trips a day available via airport shuttle. The two hour drive can lead to some significant savings for non business pax. A lot. You can book a sh...Jump to post
Here's the thread of AA announcing the start last year. All the hate for Delta - which has now scheduled a 717 DLH-MSP to start with spring flying. https://www.airliners.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1413781&start=50 I dont see any hatred for DL. The 717 is a nice add, but ultimately the se...Jump to post
I believe UA has mainline service into DLH from ORD. A319 and A320 IIRC. They do, it's the ron flight. Partially used to rotate in and out of mtc. Hard for AA to compete on a route that UA had pretty well locked down. AA helped drive down fares, but in my anecdotal evidence, most people still stuck...Jump to post
Odds are that UA (via skywest) will start DEN later this year with SCASD funds. DLH-DEN? Are you serious? They should just burn the money in the parking lot. 1x or 2x daily isn't going to give the connectivity people seek, not those on corporate travel, anyway. I dont think it will work by any mean...Jump to post
But technically they lost against United’s ORD flight? I don’t think AA started Duluth with intentions of battling DL’s market share in the city... UA has a tiny share, though. It is a Delta town. Most of the traffic connects beyond ORD where it competes with MSP on DL. Was a NW town. DL neglected ...Jump to post
