Don't deflect. Cancel the gast contract now, unless Europe wants to be labeled as "hypocrites". The Climate Change activist, Greta Thunberg demands it: https://twitter.com/gretathunberg/status/1356669038664032257 . Yes, let's set our energy policies according to what a deranged high schoo...Jump to post
In recent months, a huge number of healthy people have developed sudden serious illness, leading to complete disability and even death. We all know it wasn't caused by meat or fish, much less lazagna. When are we going to take this matter seriously? Yes, those with COVID-19 infections can have comp...Jump to post
It’s wrong, it’s pervasive and it’s a lot of Southwest pilots. The voices on guard are the same as the ones using SW call signs. The audio is exactly the same. It’s amateur hour. Not enough how they abuse 123.45 to/from Hawaii, they now want to star on 121.5. Is there some reason that WN has been h...Jump to post
In a word... No The E2 may not be the best seller but it's far from beaten. Sent from my ONEPLUS A5000 using Tapatalk Far from beaten? 643 A220s ordered and 179 delivered, vs 205 E2s ordered and 43 delivered; 3:1 ratio for orders. Those numbers are a landslide for the A220. Profit wise though, the ...Jump to post
How uncompetitive must the new Chinese and Russian planes be if they can't capitalize on the incumbents being fully booked out for years to come. Besides previous mentions of existing fleet infrastructure and mfg support, current offerings by these manufacturers just are not too hot. One could make...Jump to post
I am not a pilot or engineer or anything like that. I've read some debates here on the Forums on various aircraft types described with the adjective "unforgiving." This is a term taken from morality, ethics and psychology and then used analogically of aircraft. When an aircraft is describ...Jump to post
It’s a 767. The 757 does not have a nacelle strake. Pylon looks like a PW4060. If it had a domestic interior ( standard F/C seats), it was probably one of the domestic ETOPS ships 1401-1404 (all now scrapped). 4154767 It is scary how you can tell so much from a photo then again I suppose working on...Jump to post

I flew from ATL to SAN on Delta in 2016 and was wondering if anyone could tell me what plane I was on based on this wing photo. I know this is tech Ops but I figured the technical people would be best at identifying the A/C from a wing photo. Apologies for the speed sticker overlay.
What are the 787 pilot bases for American? Im guessing DFW is the biggest base. DFW and ORD and PHL I think and that's it. 787s only recently began flying from MIA (2020 and into 2021) but not sure if MIA is a 787 pilot base. LAX maybe. MIA seems to have regular 787 services especially on South Ame...Jump to post

Do airlines have any issues of getting, let's say, two 738s of which one was made before a production mod and one was made after and thus has a different part scheme in certain systems?
Essentially, how does the first few A320/738/etc differ from the latest models of the same A/C on the production line. While a more exaggerated example, the A333 and A332 series aircraft have gained MTOW since 2015 with an intentional upgrade. I'd imagine internal software and hardware upgrades as p...Jump to post
New Haven has an interstate backed up into it's waterfront and the I-91/I-95 intersection is a concrete mess even with the re-alignment. New Haven isn't exactly Paris or has a small town back-roads feel. It could have been Bridgeport East if it didn't have the fortune of being the home of Yale. I'm...Jump to post
Just out of curiosity and not to throw the thread off, but why are there still so many Canyon Blue jets? Why is WN taking so long to respray them into Heart liv? WN needed the 737-700 and 737-800 planes that were still in the Canyon Blue livery in service due to the plane shortages that WN was faci...Jump to post
I am a bit hesitant to bring this up, but it seems nobody is talking about the 737 MAX's poor reputation among the general public. I for one think this will have to play a role in the decision making process sooner or later. I already imagine the headlines in the Telegraaf , Netherlands' biggest (a...Jump to post
OK, Komrade. Why have competition in anything, right? If the local small carrier or that carriers route is killed by a US airline and then that US airline decides to withdraw at some point, those people may lose crucial air service as well as employment opportunities by the airline. This is why pro...Jump to post
No Mayday call? Nobody in the US uses mayday or pan pan usually unless they are a foreign pilot or maybe a GA pilot. Trust me, that doesn’t make a difference to controllers. If you tell us there’s literally the smallest thing wrong with the plane, we are treating it as an emergency. So you staying ...Jump to post
Hello, I live near an airport and college that received a FedEx 727 after their retirement. I did not think much of this until a while ago when going through a fleet database and found that FedEx donated most of their 727s to airports, colleges, museums, etc. I was wondering if anyone had any more i...Jump to post
I recall a very short lived DL 767 service to CDG. Anyone remember when? Hello, first post to forum so please take it easy on me. Does anyone know the history of transatlantic flights to BDL and PVD? I know NW had a 757 service to AMS from BDL. I also know Aer Lingus operated a A321LR from BDL as well as Norwegian operating a Max from BDL. What about other BDL services a...Jump to post
