Re: Doug Parker set to retire - Isom will be AA's new CEO

Good riddance.

Maybe an AA employee can chime in but isn't he leaving AA's financial situation in shambles?

N823DX, Newest 757-200 Stored by Delta - Why?

I'm curious why N823DX, the last produced 757-200 is currently being stored by Delta. It flew during the pandemic so I don't see it being related to that. Has a new interior as well, just curious if anyone has any knowledge why it's stored, and if it's for something temporary or permanent. Edit to a...

Re: Boeing 777- Whose have you flown?

I've so far to date have flown on exactly one 777, a 777-200ER of American Airlines. Great plane and can't wait to fly on more/the -300 variant.

Maybe I'm wrong but Virgin America at DAL I remember as being short (was it even a hub?)

Re: What is your favorite widebody aircraft?

For Y, definitely the 767. Don't have a ton of widebody flights so can't really compare, still need to get a flight on a 747, 787 (coming next week), A340, A350, and A380.

Nah the A320 is for me, but the 737-700 is the second most, and the 737-800 the third most.

Re: Fort Lauderdale & West Palm Beach (United & American)

Great report. One of the airlines I'm applying to right now (hint, they're a startup that's based in Houston and operate out of California & soon CT) made an effort to tell us passengers aren't and shouldn't be the enemy. Really resonated well with me.

Re: 15 Years ago today- Last B717 delivered

Even when DL is done with them it seems like Hawaiian will still be operating them for the foreseeable future and are quite happy with them. This will be an interesting watch. They’ve brought the 321Neo on property. A319Neo? A320Neo? A220? Embraer E2? E2 gives them some flexibility to bring in the ...

Re: Spirit Airlines Discussion Thread - 2021

So, boiled down to essentials, what exactly happened? What was/continues to be the issue? Having been in scheduling, and dealt with meltdowns before, I have an opinion…. Per the pilot forums and the Facebook groups, you could see signs of this building in the last few weeks. Across the board employ...

Re: The first Airbus A320 to break the 30-year in service mark

First A320 I've flown on was a B6 one in 2007, N529JB, which is still flying for them and is 19.9 years old. The oldest A320 I've flown on is N320US with DL which is 30.2 years old.

Re: Boston Aviation Thread - 2021

A lot of additional A220 flying from B6 this fall out of BOS. From their November schedule, I'm seeing 3x FLL, 2x TPA/ATL, 1x MSP/BNA/SAT/AUS/ORD/IAH I'm expecting this to really ramp up by next summer. Aside from the already announced MCI/MKE, I think DFW, DEN and MSY will also be seeing them. Jus...
