Maybe a new terminal? It certainly needs it. Surely they can't just keep adding on to what they already have for years to come. Isn't the current terminal nearly 50 years old? 100%,!! If they want to be the gateway to Scotland, they are going to have to move over to ingliston, get them shifted, new...

Jump to postJust wondered why Royal Jordanian chose to fly to Stansted as their new London airport, over Gatwick. I know Gatwick is busy but surely it has enough slots for a 4 x weekly service? Plus, it would have joined BA and a few other Oneworld airlines so I assume passengers would have been able to use the...
Jump to postI think Aer Lingus/AA are the ones to start MAN-MIA. It's been tried twice in the past and hasn't worked either time. However, with tie ins to cruises, packages to the Caribbean (to the islands that TUI don't serve) and general O&D/connections, the OW/IAG carrier should make a success of it. 3-...
Jump to postMost times I’ve used easyJet from Gatwick, I’ve used a jet bridge. How do they decide where and when they use them? I thought, like Ryanair, low-cost airlines don’t use them to save money.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks
I think the most logical place for a new terminal would be north of the main runway and then they could utilise the railway line and create a proper station with direct access to the terminal. That will never happen. Even if there was the vision to build a new terminal (which there isn't), Carlowri...

Jump to postI understand AA's A321XLR's are starting to be delivered next year. Does anyone know which month and how many will be delivered each year? Where will they base them/which routes will they fly on? Given it's October 2023, you'd think some routes may have been announced already. Unless I've missed som...

Jump to postAny chance El Al would come to Manchester? They announced it back in 2018, to start in May 2019. Not sure if it ever launched? Then Covid happened.
Any thoughts?
I’ve read that they want to be a “premium alternative” to low-cost airlines. I reckon they’ll focus on flights which are 3-4 hours long (Canaries, Greece, Turkey), serve meals included in the price, for high-end package holidays.

It's a "shuttle flight" (short distance), which is always the first flights to get delayed/cancelled when an airport has IROPS. Only about half the YOW-YULs take off during the winter for example (I'm exaggerating but it sure as heck feels that way). Biggest gets priority, as it is usuall...

Delta wanted VS in EDI rather than GLA to save them money at EDI. The flight would do a lot better from GLA than EDI. I'm on several UK Disney forums and there is a large portion of people who live in and around GLA that travel to Manchester or LHR to fly Virgin than go from Edinburgh, one of the m...

Jump to postIt was indeed designed to be expanded north-east and south-west (i.e. left and right, as you look at the terminal from either side) rather than north-west towards the ramp. Jump to postAlways surprised me that KLM don't serve Gatwick and/or Stansted, in addition to Heathrow and City. Particularly Stansted, as apart from Emirates, it doesn't really fly into any other hubs for people to connect through from the Essex/East Anglia area.

LGW saw roughly 5 VS flights a day.....how have they managed to get this amount of slots at LHR for the LGW flights?

Southampton Airport are in the process of extending the runway by 164m, to allow for jets to allow there (A32X's, B737's), but if EasyJet already operate their A319's there to Geneva, then why do they need the extension?
