Moscow to Vladivostok is 3989 miles so if we are talking ~continentally~ within the same country  Wink/being sarcastic then it would have to be Moscow to Vladivostok followed by Vancouver to Halifax!

It works great. I am with the guy from Europe. (ha! no pun intended) At least here, in Vancouver, people generally don't care. My parents consider my boyfriend their son-in-law.

RE: How Many Of You Go Airplane Spotting?

Well.... I have driven out to YVR at 100AM to see CX889 come down from JFK!! I have definitely chosen one flight over another for the aircraft... for example - an Air Transat L1011 Tristar over Canada 3000's B757 of course!!! I have tried so hard to arrange myself on an MD11 or a DC10 but to no avai...

Not sure if this is appropriate for this forum but I am sure many people here have had their hand at the FlightSimulator for home PC's. Has anyone ever heard of a Sim Airline? Cost Of A Brand New Jet?

Does anyone now roughly the costs of a brand new passenger jet? I read in the Bangkok Post some time ago that CX had acquired some A330's at around $30mil and some 777's at $70mil. Now, I am not even sure about my own opinion as to which is a superior product, but what could account for such a diffe...

Being a Canadian boy, I am all about the Air Transat L10 ! ! There is not one single DC10 or MD11 registered to a canadian carrier. Air Canada has gone the way of the Airbus and gave the heave-ho to all of Canadian Airline's DC10'S  <img src="/discussions/graphics/frown.gif" ALT="Sad"> Anyway, ...

RE: Bad Weather - Pick Your Plane

It seems that 747's have a lot of body "creak & moan". I love the 747 but it is not my favorite. Is there a reason for all the noise?? Especially in bad weather. I have been on CI, CX and UA and they were all the same. Other long hauls I had been on were 767 (3x!!) A330 and L10Tristar and I didn't s...

All the great TriJets are making their final runs and converting to freighters. Out at YVR we were supposed to have a KL MD11 on KL681/682 but of course it was pulled in favour of the old B767!! Aside from the rare business class upgrade I can't honestly say any economy meal I have ever has been incredible! The worst I have to say was China Airlines (CI) TPE-YVR 30JUL which was unfortunate as everything else on the flight was surprisingly good!

Spotting At YVR

Any good locations for spotting at YVR - Vancouver to Intl? Lots of Jumbos and 340's to see at this Pacific Hub - someone told me to turn off of Middle Arm bridge but that;s pretty much it and do I need a zoom lense? Am a total amateur and wouldn't mind a few words of advice.
