BOM still has one runway. Does DEL have a parallel 2nd runaway. Where are they going to fly these aircraft ?

Jump to postBack in the day, mid-70's. Boarding for the Air India 747's was via stairs at BOM.
I have boarded BA 777-200ER flight at LHR with stairs and that too multiple times. Its usually parked at a remote stand in the vicinity of the Qantas A380. This was when BA flew the 777 to DEN.
Nice way to get some insurance money on a A340.
Jump to postNobody does it and with the limited competition among legacy carriers in the US, there is no point in starting it. You just hit the nail on the head. Jump to postI have been meaning to post on this for a while. The MUC business lounges were super crowded. Reminded one a bus terminal waiting room. Plus their food choices are at best below average. Both Mumbai and Delhi used to view with each other to take the honors of which was the bigger dump. It was horrible to say the least. I remember immigration counters even in late 90s being ordinary work tables in Mumbai. Somewhere around 2005 things started to change even at the old terminal. They k...
Jump to postSecurity at DEL & BOM airport takes forever. They are incredibly thorough, one of the best in the world. The new Terminal is not as nice as ICN, DOH, LAX TBIT departure extension or LHR T2/T3. Actually reminded me of GRU and GIG's new departure halls. I have traveled through BOM's new terminal....

(BOM has beautiful terminals, I prefer it to DEL even if the terminal layout is odd given land constraints.) This survey is high on customer service parameters...DEL and BOM do we...
Jump to postA few days ago came across an article that said Delhi was adjudged the best airport in the world. I was surprised.
