Jump to postDoes someone know which B787-9s are 78W and which ones are 789?
Is there any tail by tail source for which A320 family aircraft are in the new A321 (32L), A320 (32C/32G), A319 (31C/31G) configs and the B737-800 configs (73M/73N/73Q/738/73K/73L/732) and the new B737-700 configs (73C/73D)?

Jump to postBoth Orient Thai and Siam Air are no longer owned by Udom Tantiprasongchai and his wife. I think Siam Air never was or so he said. They are now at least partially owned by a Chinese, Lan Shilli, who initially set up East Star Airlines in China some years ago. The latest rumor is that Shilli is under...
Jump to postSeveral of their B767s are still active, so doubt they are grounded. Given the relatively low aircraft ownership and staff costs, they have just always been very opportunistic as well and often let aircraft sit for a long time. May is not exactly high season for China-Thailand charters, so maybe tha...
Jump to postHighly likely something along these lines, they have been withdrawn from service already.
Jump to postNo, there is also a freighter and a lot of pax aircraft left.
Jump to postThey are operating local flights in Africa. Maybe the Paris flights have been suspended because the B767 is on maintenance in Addis Ababa for months already and they have lost a court case in France threatening that aircraft would be seized if they show up there?
Jump to postThis is not true, they are currently using an A320-200 damp-leased from Titan Airways and one of their A321-200s will stick around for another year. So they will temporarily have one A320 and one A321 until three A321neos start arriving next year.

Jump to postThere is a fare war going on between Thai AirAsia, Nok Air, Thai Lion Air and Thai Smile which has moved Nok Air from being very profitable (double digit positive margins) to negative margins now for example. Jump to postThe first issue is that the Tu-204 uses the wrong hexcode.
The second issue seems to have been fixed already as this flight in March again shows IL9 as equipment.
They did that in the past with Aeroflot-Nord and Aeroflot-Don and then abandoned it after the Aeroflot-Nord crash. Now the plan is to have just four operators, Aeroflot as mainline, Pobeda as the LCC, Aurora in the Far East and Rossiya as one brand for current Rossiya, Orenair and Donavia.
Jump to postTUI told us this was completely blown out of proportion by the local newspaper in Hanover and that all that has been discussed was really, really early stage on how TUI could work with Iran. The rest is speculation.
