The max that a crew can fly before they have to report it to Transport Canada is 14 hours. This includes ground time and check in time before the flight.

As has been stated already on the thread you can be sure that the crew operating down will not be operating back up.

The mx plan for the 700 series is different in that it is a rolling check isnstead of having to do a full "D" check, the plane gets elements of the "D" check as it goes.

That means the cost of the full "D" check does not have the same impact on the bottom line.
