Re: Irish 7/19

So if I understand correctly EI will have 7 A321LR and 6 A321XLR in it's fleet eventually. I assume all the 757's will go. Will the 3 A321's currently in use for non T/A routes also go? I see that EI also has some A330's coming in. Does that mean the older A332's will be moved along? Ending up with...

Re: Irish 7/19

A333 EI-GCF never comes through Boston. What prevents it from being part of the normal rotation of A333s that do? I suspect it's because it is a higher gross weight acft with extra crew accommodation for relief crew, which means it's more suited to west coast flights. Here's a summary of June - qui...

Re: Irish 4/19: Summer flyin', had me a blast

I think the ORK TATL flight would have struggled to be back in 2020 even before the grounding of the MAX. I think this disruption to the schedule will put the final nail in the coffin so to speak. DUB is where Norwegian will focus on and it hard to blame them. Based on? The reality is that ORK main...

The only problem I would say is legally they are not permitted to issue press releases or information that legally should be provided by the airline. Even if the airport knew of the intentions of the airline they are limited in what they can say. I would certainly agree with you that the airline is...

Looks like no flights out of ORK or SNN until July at the earliest. Neither airline or airports will confirm though. They would have better off if they had just announced that from the start and not messed people about. It's a tough one for Norwegian, they just don't know the the MAX-8 will be back...

So essentially ORK->PVD will be cancelled as well next week as one plane does both routes. Safe to assume that SNN-SWF is also not happening. Of course no announcement from airline or airports involved. ORK is "confident" D8 will supply a 738 to service the flights in place of the 7M8. No...

They originally operated these routes with 737-800NG aircraft, the predecessor to the MAX, so it's possible they could be able to use these again but it will depend on whether they've still maintained those aircraft to ETOPS standards, as it's very expensive maintaining an aircraft to ETOPS standar...
