Correct; the schedules are not finalized. Whereas many airlines do a full batch release of winter and summer, Norwegian releases schedules as they are ready.

The attempt to monetize FlyFi (wifi) quickly came and went - I could see this being a target for revenue. It'd stay "JetBlue" by probably offering some usage for free, say 30 minutes, but then a paid option to continue.

It's due to RR engine issues - more reductions/cancellations/leases to come for sure. Their 787s are in a particularly impacted batch.

@bebopdeluxe - the EWR-FCO is still nonstop, just flown by Privilege Style instead of the Norwegian 787. Not sure about the offering though.

It just effects the MAD-LGW flight because of where customs/passport control is, so it's a problem for non-Schengen routes in T2 on all airlines. I know the airport is trying to fix it.

The APD was a part of it - it was expected to be reduced by 50% and the government chose not to. The other issue was running EDI from both PVD and SWF. There was simply too much capacity for EDI to have flights from all 3 airports when BDL, in the middle, is only about 90 minutes from either.

Norwegian HAS hired US based pilots for the 737 MAX bases in PVD and SWF - and some to staff a Dreamliner base in FLL. They are sorting out the logistics with transferring between EASA and FAA. This is fake news.

The 737s are delivered with white tails because the tail art is a decal applied by DY. The 787s are not decals and the paint required on a composite frame is different. You also have to paint the rudder in advance on the 787 because it's weight sensitive, so most airlines opt to just paint the entir...
