Just as the world was trying to begin a legitimate recovery from the pandemic, the Russians had to start the biggest war in Europe since WW2 which in turn could lead to a catastrophic global food shortage that could possibly be worse than the pandemic when it comes to global instability and suffering.Jump to post
Shortest widebody flight: Air India 747 LHR-FRA
Longest narrowbody flight: Pan Am 707 JFK-FRA
Both flights occurred during the late seventies when I was a kid. The Air India flight was JFK-LHR-FRA. My sister was working for Air India in Frankfurt and she got two free tickets for my mom and me.

Russian troops now crossing into Ukraine from Belarus per CNN. Next up, the rest of Georgia…because why the hell not at this point? Nah, Putin has consolidated power pretty well. The problem is what happens after he's gone. Hopefully, a Russian government that’s not belligerent. Maybe that’s asking for too much? Just as we’re seeing the light at the end of the tunnel for the worst pandemic in a century, Putin has to appease his...Jump to post

Begins and ends with Shirley Bassey’s Goldfinger. Once Connery left, Bond wasn’t the same for me. 100% I dont even watch the new ones . Just Connery and Moore . Based on all that's happened so far, do people here think some kind of shooting war will really occur ? I honestly just don't see it. I think by this time in February we'll be having a chuckle at how hysterical everybody became over this. I'll say it again, Russia has completely lost the element of...Jump to post

I think I miss TWA more than Pan Am, probably because I flew more with TWA when I was a kid during the eighties. I probably only flew a handful of times with Pan Am during that time. I've always wondered why can we now detect exoplanets in faraway GALAXIES, catch minute traces of DNA in 100,000 year old fossilized bone, have machines that detect elementary particles which exist for merely just fractions of a plank second (and are a fraction the size of an atom), but we still ca...Jump to post
