It’s been a really bad summer and airlines have themselves to blame for biting off more than they could chew. State governments are feeling the pressure because the federal government has failed multiple times to keep airlines as accountable as they should have.

I’ve never been to Melbourne, but definitely plan to take a tour on the Great Ocean Road when I go there. It’s a couple of hours away from Melbourne and multiple companies do day tours.

Airlines will just have to pivot more towards leisure travel and some US carriers have already done so by adding new leisure destinations like Tahiti, Canary Islands, Croatia, etc. which were destinations that in the past US carriers never even considered or only did an occasional charter flight to....

Just as the world was trying to begin a legitimate recovery from the pandemic, the Russians had to start the biggest war in Europe since WW2 which in turn could lead to a catastrophic global food shortage that could possibly be worse than the pandemic when it comes to global instability and suffering.

Both flights occurred during the late seventies when I was a kid. The Air India flight was JFK-LHR-FRA. My sister was working for Air India in Frankfurt and she got two free tickets for my mom and me.

I got to fly twice on the Tu-154 when I was a kid. Round trip on TAROM, FRA-OTP-FRA. I’m probably one of the few Americans to fly the type, especially during the Cold War.
