That saves enough money for a small fleet of Boeing 747-8i birds to serve airports that need great capacity but cannot use the A380 (like Boston). It probably won't happen but I can hope!

Recreational Helicopter Flights At Int'l Airports

Last year, I had the great pleasure of watching the comings and goings at LAX from above the airport in a helicopter (thanks Star Helicopters!). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QiWeggacvuk Does anyone know if this is possible at...

Modern Airliners Too Quiet?

I recently flew on an Air France Airbus A380 to Paris and, for the first time in my flying life, I was awakened (twice) by other passengers who were snoring. Normally, such noises are drowned out by the din/drone of the engines. I also made a video of the landing in Paris and noticed the "extreme" q...

Genesis Of The "Wing Wave"

I was watching the Boeing 787 display at the Paris Air Show and noticed that it executed a wing wave. Does anyone know the genesis of this maneuver and if it is ever done with passengers onboard. It seems like it would be a pretty aggressive motion on the inside so I doubt it but I'm wondering. The ...
