A lot of American companies are setting up call centers in PH because they speak American English instead of British English in India as the Philippines were a former US colony. Imagine any airline doing lifetime retirement pass benefits for anyone who is laid off if they are not even near retirement age, that would be an interesting option and I would jump on that if I were in an airline, if I had plenty of years still to go.

I flew this route a while back and was like 1 of 2 pax in first class, was disappointed I paid extra for first class expecting the new lie flat, but they did a last minute swap to the older first class cabin, however service was good.
