Endeavor was built in 1991 as a replacement for the Challenger.

If NASA does get a boost in funds, which it needs, hopefully it will go towards the development of the new shuttle and not the reproduction of a 1960s design.

The VC-25 is a 747-200B with 747-400 engines. The cockpit is the same as a 747-200B, excluding the EFIS. She was finished in late 1989, but underwent a year at Boeing's modification center in Kanas. The cost of the modifications were more then the aircraft itself, around 300 million.

Hey guys, something isn't right here. I can't see any other plane in the photo that comes near to tying in with the fuselage of the Delta aircraft other then the AA tail. It is nearly impossible for that tail not to belong with that aircraft.

You never know with Delta, lots of times 767s are changed with 777s or MD-11s on a moments notice, and vice versa. It sounds like you are probably in Business Elite, so the seats on the 767 will be a little narrower, but on the MD-11 and 777 they are a little wider.

My only experiences on the 777 were with Delta between Atlanta and Florida in BizElite. The flights only lasted abour 45 minutes, but they were great, especially in the bad weather in Florida during the summer.

A very long time ago, well around 1994 they had scheduled flights to Hong Kong from LAX, but the range problems with the MD-11 prevented the aircraft from making it to Hong Kong once in awhile so the flight was stoped.
