It was indeed a C17...saw it on about a 4 mile final for 19R. I thought it was weird they were using 19R at that time of day when there isn't much traffic.

FWIW, I've done max reverse on an A320 with the other reverse INOP and pinned and there is no directional control issues. It handles just fine.

For what it’s worth, the other day I was on an A319 (850UA) that had the new style China Southern style front bulkhead. Anyone know if all of the Airbii will eventually have this? It looks much better than the old legacy UA bulkhead.

Re: Air Canada Express Dash 8-100s: are Q400s going to replace them?

The Dash 8 in its original forms is a very tough, robust airplane. It's really hard to beat. Passengers may leave the aircraft thinking it had best be relegated to freight flights, sure, but it's still a very tough plane for places like rural Canada and here in Alaska. The problem with the Q400 is ...

This one has nothing to do with pilot shortages (although it may be indirectly factoring into the decisions) and everything to do with the economics of the route. Commutair classes have been in the single digits in addition to adding on E145's, The airlines will never admit it because if word gets ...
