Re: Slow start for AA PHX-SAF flights

The article seems to imply that this is the slow season. Time will tell if the flight can survive.

So sad to see secondary airports struggle with direct flights. Not just a SAF issue unfortunately.

Re: Movie Preview: Sully

Man, was Sully really second-guessed that badly? Not directly but the simulations run at Airbus showed that more than half of the pilots could make it back to LGA. Of course it was a sim and they knew what was going to happen. When they put a delay in before the sim pilots could react, none made it...

Re: AA LAX-CUN/PVR

They couldn't. Before the new bilateral agreement only 3 US airlines could fly from PVR on a city pair, and AS, DL, and UA had the three rights for Los Angeles. WN will be joining AA on the route this fall. Right, what my lazy typing was trying to say was I never understood how they didn't already ...

I never understood how they didn't serve PVR from LAX. That means LAX, PHX and DFW to PVR. Great coverage. With CUN, DL, UL, WN all serve/will serve that market. Same as the US crowd on the other pair but I have to think the O&D is much less.

Re: Additional 6 767s Ordered

The main upside to the 767 line still being open is that you could (in laymans terms) order one today, and get it tomorrow. Since there is only 2 customers on the line. Boeing can always throw another aircraft in the mix and get it out sooner than you could get a 787. The next 787 slot might not be...
