20% is ok-ish when one considers there's almost a 20 year technology gap between the 744 and the A380. Also, we must wait until the 748 is out to have an idea of 748 vs A380 efficiency. I might be a little late... just saw this. I'm repeating what some members already said but here goes: orders for 773ERs, 787-3, 787-9 and 748s are likely, it's just logical. The only thing we can't be sure of are the numbers, especially for the 748s since the 773 seems to replace 747s in some cases...

2% overweight means potentially 2% more fuel consumption therefore higher operating costs etc... it's not that much, (for some airlines it might be...) I thought they fixed the weight problem though... correct me if I'm wrong.

It's simply shocking... any international flight MUST have pilots who speak proper ENGLISH. Even internal flights must have English communication...
