Well I am glad I am not the only one underwhelmed.

The picture of the guy sitting on that business class "bench" just doesn't look right. It does not even look comfortable.

And nice to see Economy class has been virtually overlooked.

I think Qantas and Emirates will really show them up.

Perhaps a more meaningful and accurate representation of 1st qtr profit would be to disclose the operating profit at S$274M (up 8.2%). The S$575M you detail above includes a one off gain of S$223M from the sale of a building.

But then this may not have sounded as good I guess.

I just came back from Shanghai on the A333. The AVOD did work however it did jam a number of times. Many had to have it rebooted including me.

Surley Rockwall Collins must be liable if the systme doesn't work to specifications.

QF now have all 10 x 333's and no more are on firm order. I doubt any more will come given the 787 order just announced. They may have a need to hang on to 2 or 3 of the 743's.

The pictures actually make it look far far worse than the minor incident it was.

All passengers disembarked safely and Qantas retained its record of never having lost a passenger in the jet age.

Boeing actually said that they have repaired far worse than this.
