Good to see the switch back to PTV's. IA and DL continues to make customer friendly changes while AA moves further and further into ULCC territory. IDK why you’re singling out American when United has been neck and neck with AA on their trek into ULCC territory ... well until this move back to PTV’...Jump to post
Such a boring interior. Way too much gray in my opinion.Jump to post
This photo, taken inside the cabin shortly before the crash, still haunts me. I’m shocked it survived, tbh.

On a side note, it looks like ORD-HNL is operating a full 6 months this year into next (November to May) on 788’s or 789’s depending on the day. Also ORD-LAS is seeing a daily 788 come November. I believe during peak holiday season, mid Dec through early Jan they will operate a 2nd frequency on ORD...Jump to post

I don’t remember seeing this anywhere else, but it looks like ORD-HNL is operating a full 6 months this year into next (November to May) on 788’s or 789’s depending on the day ... as compared to the very limited time last year. Also, it looks ORD-LAS and ORD-PHX are both going to see daily 788’s com...Jump to post

If the old WOW Air model did not work, why should it work now? I believe the old WOW air had a decent enough model, I think it was more an issue of them growing far too fast, which eventually lead to its demise. If this new carrier is a bit more cautious in its growth, then I think they’ll have a d...Jump to post

Haha serious? That is really random - what connection does QF have to Hurricane Ditka?
It looks like another case of enraged passenger, this time onboard an American Airlines flight from MIA to LAX. And of course, it was all caught on video.
I would have hoped STL would have seen some more love considering the last MD80s were from TWA and STL has been a huge MD80 base over the years. Agreed, tho ORD makes sense considering 20 years ago the MD80 pretty much ruled at ORD ... not to mention most of the flights between ORD-DFW-ORD were on ...Jump to post
Here’s a link to an economy trip report on AA between DFW and HNL from 2017 that shows the complimentary offerings in coach. It’s a basic boxed sandwich / wrap and chips type meal.

I guess a better question is- are these carve-outs TRUE meals or do they just get to pick something from the Buy on Board catalogue/offerings. Those aren't quite "real" meals since its nornally just a wrap/salad/sandwich with sometime chips or something. I believe I read that UA EWR/HNL i...Jump to post

It appears American is canceling random flights from ORD the next few days (as in canceling them days in advance), and on different routes like to DFW ana LAX. Any idea what’s up?
Hey Guys, I feel like this deserves its own thread since ORD hasn’t seen mainline service to many smaller markets in over a decade on American. Earlier today I looked at schedules for July 5th, 2019 and noticed AA now offers mainline service from ORD to many cities that have been regional routes for...Jump to post
DTW & ORD have been getting the low end of the stick lately compared to BWI, MCO, FLL, MSY, TPA, & LAS. I think it's clear that NK's new network strategy is to move on from DTW & ORD. Not the case at all, it’s a simple case of gate constraints. However, once they O’Hare expansion is com...Jump to post
Here’s a great article which shows a photo of the male flight attendant died as well as one of the other crew members, both of whom are hero’s in my opinion. Here’s a pic of the burned rear fuselage after the fire had been extinguished. I honestly can’t imagine what it must have been like for those poor souls in the back.

I know this isn’t 100% accurate but it still gives me chills. The animation makes it feel so real, especially with the sound effects.
A grounding isn’t gonna happen. I just saw on World News Tonight that the FAA said they see no reason to ground the plane.Jump to post

Some of you might find this interesting ... it’s an Eastern flight attendant bid sheet for the ORD base dated June 1985. I wonder where else they’ll potentially fly from ORD? They’ve had a significant operation there for years already with 24 non-stop destinations being served.Jump to post
I’ve noticed a lot of AA reductions at ORD. Is this possibly to due to upgauging or what do y’all think?Jump to post

Could anyone see F9 starting ORD-GRB, too? It’s a route that is traditionally very expensive (albeit most people drive between the two cities, I’m assuming), but it would be interesting to see if an ULCC could succeed on this or a similar regional route.Jump to post
Compare these with American’s new uniforms, which are beyond boring in my opinion.

It looks like F9 is launching ORD-BKG Wednesday and Saturday service beginning May 1, 2019.

I just glanced at a January 1985 Northwest Orient Timetable and a good example of this would be the ORD-MSP route ... with several of the flights using the 747 and DC-10. And get thus ... they served a full breakfast in coach on the morning 747 run ... that’s an hour or less in the air!Jump to post

My guess is seasonal capacity. It looks as though they upgauged one of the A321 DFW-LAS-DFW flights to a 788 over the holiday season. As well as the 7 am departure out of ORD.
