Re: Routing of non-stop flights Europe-Hong Kong during the 1980s

I used to fly London-Hong Kong with BA regularly on the "school bus' during my teenage years 1985-1990 and I remember - maybe a bit fuzzily - some aspects of that experience In regards to routing, one of my HKG-LHR (1989?) non-stops passed overhead Kunming, PRC on the way, as well as Tashkent (...

Re: Terminated AF destinations

PNH was inaugurated in 2011, becoming only European route flown from Cambodia to Europe non-stop. The route only lasted a couple of seasons. Correct. The route operated with a A343 and 772. I wouldn't be surprised to see PNH return to the AF network via Joon. Cambodia is a growing market and is qui...

with a new booking on DL your status is 'dynamic' in that it will update automatically as your status changes the exceptions to this that I have encountered are: a 4-sector intl booking on KL made when I was Plat and flown when I was a 'SkyMiles member' yet I retained my complimentary Comfort+ seati...

Re: Vertically opening doors, L1011 / DC10 / B767

IIRC, the L1011 L1/R1 doors were staggered (i.e. not positioned directly opposite each other in the fuselage) because there wasn't enough space in the crown to accommodate both doors in the raised position at the forward-most location Also I remember reading a BA L1011 technical manual that stated e...

Bassinets are AMAZING - and with the age of your child, it shouldn't be a problem (TG wouldn't allow bassinet for our 11-mo old because she could stand) some airlines have 25lb weight limits etc...so there are some random airline-specific policies out there) Our itinerary was LAX-ICN-BKK-PNH on OZ A...
