Does anyone know of any hotel near BHD that has onsite parking? We’re due to fly out of there in Sept & going up the previous night. Plan is to stay in a hotel and drive over to the airport the next day & park the car but looking for a hotel that actually has a car park attached to it The T...Jump to post

It's been a long time since I've enjoyed a trip report here so thank you for this interesting one on MIAT. I hope to visit Korea some day. Great to see an old Ryanair 737 still plugging away - I flew on her sisterships CSV & CSM many moons ago. All the best and thank you again for uploading - it...Jump to post
Well not unexpected but do I count myself lucky I was on my first (and most likely last) A346 flight SCL-MAD last November. On the last produced A346 ever too. :cloudnine: And it really was much nicer than the A359 I have to say.... SA's A346s are on their way out too, will LH retain theirs? This i...Jump to post
Don’t forget that EC261 will get you cash refund if flying inside 2wks of the flight cancelation by the airline I think that with the difficulties airlines are facing due to the Covid-19 and restrictions imposed by governments, EC261 is the least of their worries. How greedy can you get On the flip...Jump to post
A friend of mine shared the following on FB and I thought it was really nicely worded and worth sharing with you all: I like to embrace my inner kid when I am at the airport. I love the smell of the place. Each and every sound of it. The low and slow groan of an A330 engines spooling up to life. Qu...Jump to post

Flew EI to TXL last Thurs. Was all set for Irish brekkie. But nope. Was cursed by sitting in row 29. No hot food left I thought that EI was the same as FR, and started one trolley from the front and one from the back to meet in the middle. To be fair the flight was full. Just annoying. EI no longer employ cleaners for their aircraft. They rely on the crew collecting in any rubbish before landing. The crew do a quick security check after disembarkation but they are not given any time to clean. Indeed they are not able to as they do not have the supplies to do so (extra bags, glove...Jump to post
Two weeks ago I did my MAD DUB flight on the ET B789 (ET-AUO). It was great, the plane was beautiful, cabin crew fab, good communication from the flight deck. I was given a little omelette with sausage, scone, bun, fruit cup, orange juice and coffee. The crew were especially great with a 12 yr old S...Jump to post

I flew the B772 LHR HND last year. It was subbed for a B77W! I was a bit annoyed as I was looking forward to flying a newer a/c. It was very dated on the inside, but once I settled in I had a great flight. The IFE was ok, and I even managed an hour or two sleep.Jump to post
I also love that breakfast and treated myself to it last year heading to Spain for the year. I also agree with the waste...it was difficult trying to fit it on thee exit row table but like you I had no one beside me! Next mission is... macaroni cheese pie haha. Nice report, the lighting is coolJump to post

the captain stood at the door upon arrival and said goodbye to everyone which was a nice touch. I don’t recommend the macaroni and cheese pie... Rarely happens on EI these days . How many checked bags do you need? Most tickets are giving 2 pieces. Just the two! I eventually found that I have 2 pcs when I clicked on my ticket no in my email. TP cheap enough, around €90-€100. I've never flown them so are curious. ET looking at around €180... hopefully stays the same...and maybe a bid for upgrade... Great value indeed with TP! Ah tis yourself. Cool flight. I liked the LATAM 787 but I hate the feeling that the windows are lying to me with this hue! Food looks great. I loved that they have those amazing toilets in the plane... so you get Japaned even before you get to the airport hahah.Jump to post
Nice memories - I did this flight in January last year on CC-BGB. I bid for the upgrade, which was cheaper than my EI flight back to DUB later that evening. I really enjoyed the Velázquez Lounge in MAD...my first time ever in J (hopefully not the last).Jump to post

Very well written, very interesting themes...some very sad.
Great stuff, I really like the SCAT livery. Xi’an airport seems like a pleasnat surprise. And the scenery looked magnificent. Although the people without headphones would have driven me mad!
Eagerly awaiting the rest.
Wow, what a great idea! The plane lovers dream! Can’t wait to read the rest.Jump to post
-DUZ is my favourite EI A330 because she has the same name as me "Aoife"! This is a jaunt I would love to do one day. Was it bumpy during take off? Lucky you got out during Ophelia and indeed tragic that 3 people have died.
Oh my god...all the way from BCN to OAK...no way I could do this.
Thanks for taking one for the team and writing the report!
