It would be possible to connect from London to Tbilisi, for example, and the Turkish Airlines website does offer connecting flights via the new airport. Re: TK after new Istanbul airport

My internal source at Bombardier told me that TK is looking at C Series aircraft, possibly ordering a mix of both models on offer. He also mentioned that not all orders are with the new IST hub in mind. I don't know if that means some will go to AnadoluJet or not, but we can expect to see a "s...

Re: Istanbul new airport - latest pictures and discussion thread

The road signs leading to the airport show that there will be a dedicated entrance through CIP lounges (at least to the one in the G concourse). However, the dedicated entrance is only accessible by cars. Public transport (numerous HavaIst, H4 buses) must take a different route to access the termina...

With TK moving to the new airport, I wonder if the connecting flight waves would shift. Growing traffic and limited frequencies have forced TK to make the widebodies permanent on 2-hour flights to KBP in Ukraine. A330 and B777 are performing almost every flight now. Does that somehow hurt the airframe cycle count limiting the aircraft lifespan? I remember around 10 years ago TK removed...
