Even on flights where your carry-on might not fit in the overhead, you can probably still check it at the gate. At least that way you are headed in the right direction -- lighter and smaller bags. BTW, mine fits in just about any overhead, but I might check it at the gate/stairs for smaller regional...

In layman terms, the swirley marking on the engine hub is to show rotation, but who puts it there? The manufacturer? Carrier? Pilot? Okay, kidding about the last one.

One of my flights in southern states (unfortunately, WN is less humorous on northern flights). Was almost non-stop hilarity. Not that stupid kind of fake humor, but heartfelt. Just a relaxing change from those mundane snoozer flights.
