Jinghong or Sipsongbanna is the center of the ethnic Dai people in China. Thais are descendents of this group. Their languages and traditions are similar. sipsongbanna, the dai name for the city, means something like the land of 12 rice fields in dai and thai. Bangkok airways already has flights fro...

Sq_ek_freak, your comments summarize exactly what i was thinking about when i first read about this new plan at TG. Unfortunately, TG just can't develop O&D traffic to and from CNX. There has to be potential for it. If there is than maybe it could work. But i feel there would also have to be a lot o...

I would avoid TPE if you would have a long layover and want to do something other than watch planes. I once had a long layover there connecting from BKK to the U.S. It was very boring.

Is there supposed to be a lot of potential for O&D traffic between CNX and these regions or are they just going to have to increase the number of flights from CNX to BKK for passengers connecting to BKK. If they are going to use CNX for a lot of international connection traffic i would think the ter...

I've used them a couple of times to book flights to BKK. I just called the 800 number to find out the specifics of the flights. I took NW from BOS a couple of years ago. They put me on the DTW to NRT flight. The same plane with a different flight number was used for the flight to BKK.
