I think it is Great Lakes.
Just a hunch.
resources? I know the United contract lasts until June 12th. But with only one plane painted for I-Air and lack of other resources, this seems like a unreachable goal for <acronym title="Acapulco - General Juan Alvarez Int'l (ACA), Mexico">ACA</acronym>/Independence. Once in a while out of sheer boredom at work I tend to search the DIS* pages for anything interesting. Does anyone know any interesting commands for weather, plane info. Just the typical entertaining stuff, or even flight information in mode 19. Can anyone help?
the reason gate agents open the door is due to safety. That way the flight attendant is aware that the jetbridge is pulled up to the aircraft.
Oh yeah, to stay on topic. As a revenue pax I prefer a male gate agent, but as a non-revenue, I prefer a female gate agent.
LNK announced two weeks ago that they filed a $1 million grant for Continental. They expect within the next two or three months to find out whether they will be moving in or not. I doubt the LNK will see the airline, but does anyone else expect major carriers to come to your neighborhood in a time o...Jump to post
For United's sake, I hope they drop <acronym title="Acapulco - General Juan Alvarez Int'l (ACA), Mexico">ACA</acronym>. But on the other hand, for another express carrier(such as Chautaqua, who is big on United's bidding list at the moment) to take over and have to start from fresh would cause anoth...Jump to post
Man I didn't realize how many Oasis fans there were in here. Every time I land in the UK I can't help but think of Noel singing, "Listen Up" and the presence of green pastures... I just saw Oasis in Dublin not too long ago. They opened with "Full On." Another song I think of when I fly, is when I se...Jump to post
All of us who happen to board flights often have to deal with the stupidity of some of our fellow co-workers in the field. For instance, many times we will have a flight that is delayed and will need to do a quick turn so all the passengers can make their connections. Often we will get a flight atte...Jump to post
I never gave that much attention to the planes, due to the fact that I was in awe that they were taking off from a taxiway instead on actual runway. If you watch the video they are performing on a taxiway(Yellow Line). But I know they did shut down one runway to tape the video.
A rumor has been circulating around the network of <acronym title="United Airlines (USA)">UA</acronym>'s express carriers that <acronym title="Acapulco - General Juan Alvarez Int'l (ACA), Mexico">ACA</acronym> is going to discontinue their service and continue to focus on the services that are being...Jump to post
While in <acronym title="Denver - Stapleton International (DEN / KDEN) (Closed), USA - Colorado">DEN</acronym> last week I was at one of my favorite eateries. I have been to quite a few airports, but some tend to only have the same old fast food signs spreading across their terminals. So my question...Jump to post
A friend of mine works in crew scheduling for <acronym title="Acapulco - General Juan Alvarez Int'l (ACA), Mexico">ACA</acronym>. His recommendation, DON'T. It is a very stressful position and requires a lot of knowledge about crew time requirements for little pay. Especially in the DC area, you onl...Jump to post

Let me tell you, as someone who was on track for an industry job at the moment, it is very frustrating. Even though I do realize that there are jobs in the future, it is very hard to continue flight training due to the recent impact on the costs of the education itself.
I handled a customer tonight after a flight cancelled for ATC in <acronym title="Chicago - O'Hare International (ORD / KORD), USA - Illinois">ORD</acronym> that was just in the same interests of 777d. When he was checking in he said, "United is not going to screw me over tonight, are they?" From the...Jump to post
Aer Lingus... gosh I love redheads.. And they speak Gaelic as well... Oh, only a matter of hours and I will be flying in one of their cabins.
Great aircraft, practically impossible to ever have a bad landing in that thing as well. That elbow landing gear makes for a nice touchdown. By the way, Hollywood, nice tribute. This is worthy of a tribute. As for now, I am off to enjoy my time on a <acronym title="United Airlines (USA)">UA</acronym...Jump to post
Hey <acronym title="Alaska Airlines (USA)">AS</acronym> GSC, I think that same woman who had flown into my town on United a few years back. 1999 sounds about right as well. On a flight coming in an attendant told us that a woman sitting towards the back was breast feeding a kitten. And believe it or...Jump to post
Ok, we have all been on weird or interesting flights. But let's go on the flipside. What is the most interesting or odd instance that you have witnessed inside of the airport terminal? The time I reflect a lot would be the event that just happened last november. I was standing in at the counter of M...Jump to post
To Adh214, I am not complaining about their attempt to be entertaining to the children. As an airline employee, I have to witness the their operation daily. They have a budget that is just getting out of control. An operation that is surpassing what could be simple, has gone far and beyond the means...Jump to post
This just continues to be the reputation of one of these big flight schools. Another Comair training academy. Hey, This next week I am traveling over to Dublin. In order to get there, I am going on United and I they land in Term. 3. It will be a long time before Air Wisconsin will ever get rid of the BAE-146. I am not saying their bad folk. Merely the fact that their operation is done without proper research and education of the operation they are running. Talking about their budget. The employees who were sent out to Hayden, Colorado were sent there during ski season. Wouldn't it have been better to sen...Jump to post
As an airline employee, I have the chance to see the wonderful service of our tax dollars at work each and everyday that I grace my presence at the airport.
