I know that Bombardier rarely does very well announcing orders at these shows, but will they not be able to have buyers for the CRJ or the Q400 aircraft lined up? Anyone know if Bombardier has any press announcement scheduled for Wednesday? If they cannot get even a few small orders for both program...Jump to post
As per the link below, this Angolan consortium has purchased 6 new Q400 aircraft from Bombardier. As per the link below, Ethiopian Airlines has ordered 10 Q400's and has taken options on a further 5 aircraft. I was hoping Ethiopian would order some CSeries airplanes, but this is a nice order for the Q400 and builds upon some recent momentum from last year for the turboprop. My guess would be that this is a China Express Airlines order, or possibly an order from a Chinese Lessor. In the past few years, most of the "Unidentified" orders for the CRJ900 have been placed by those companies. Or the order could possibly come from the Iranian airlines FlyQeshm, altho...Jump to post
Thinking about the last few weeks with respect to the 300% tariffs placed on the CS100, is the CSeries (and by extension Bombardier Commercial Aersopace) at risk of going bankrupt? The Q400 has received a boost with the large order placed by Spicejet, Ethiopian Airlines and Philippines Airlines, but...Jump to post

Didin't Etihad Regional recently have an advertisement for pilots rated on Q400's?
Maybe they are replacing older ATR72-500's, as it would appear that five aircraft would be an appropriate number.
I would think that it might be Biman Bangladesh Airlines as they were looking to order 3 x Q400's and they are currently leasing 2 from an Egyptian carrier (Smart Aviation). Other possible candidates could be a top up order from Ethiopian Airlines, Qazaq Air from Kazakhstan or Falcon Air Services fr...Jump to post

Any idea when the next CS100 and CS300 will be delivered?
Bombardier has publicly stated that they plan on delivering between 30-35 CS100/CS300's this year, but I can't seem to find any information about the January deliveries. Hopefully they are still on track.
According to the link below, South African Airways Express will induct 3 CRJ900's to the fleet. Ethiopian Airlines was rumoured to be a few weeks away from either ordering the CS100 or the E2 from Embraer. As Farnborough is less than a week away, can we expect any orders from Bombardier for the CSeries?
I am not expecting any major orders, but maybe some smaller airlines ordering some smaller numbers. I am thinking like a Croatia Airlines or Ethiopian Airlines ordering some CS100/CS300's.
Great news for the CRJ program. I am curious to know if this order is from American Airlines and will be placed with a regional partner, or if it is from a carrier such as China Express Airlines. With 10 firm orders, I would imagine this is from an established airline. Any thoughts on which airline/...Jump to post
With the Singapore Airshow beginning this Tuesday, any strong possibilities of Bombardier receiving firm orders for the commercial aircraft line? Could the airline be South African Express? Again, not a Middle Eastern airline, but a 100% Bombardier operator.
The airline currently operates 12 CRJ200's and I believe I read that they were looking to update their fleet (via an RFP) and they also a major operator of the Q400.
