Re: United Airlines Network Thread 2018

I'm going to guess that DUB, BCN and MAD would be three of those six. Those were operated by the domestic 772s this past Summer, going to the 78J would allow those 772s to return to domestic / Hawaii / Guam service. As for the other three, perhaps CDG, MXP and FCO? FRA and MUC I'd say for sure due ...

Re: What's Going In CLE - 2018

I wish I understood why CLE seems to be so far down the pecking order for WN. Massey's stats say CLE is delivering the traffic, the gates are available. . . . yet the service really lags CMH, IND, PIT, MCI. . . there's no obvious reason for that. Yet CLE is busier than all those except MCI so the s...

Re: United Fleet Upgrade Status - 2018

Anecdotally, ORD-LHR seems like a market where if United could fly a smaller plane or if they could fly two flights a day they would. But there is no smaller plane, they've got Heathrow slots to protect, and they've gotta compete with AA/BA's schedule. Each flight yesterday went out with 15-20 unso...

Re: What's Going In CLE - 2018

2-3 years ago AA dropped CLE-PHX (about 2x daily on A319s/320s) as Southwest and Frontier expanded the route, but since then they've gone once-daily (WN) and seasonal (F9). Same can be said for UA when they used to have 2-3 daily. The market is currently underserved and most likely funneled through...

With N660UA being the only IPTE 763 current running the ORD>LHR route, how does UA sell this route vs. the new 763's? With only 183 seats vs. 214 for the two 763 configurations. Just left HNL a few weeks ago. What a real disappointing welcome to America for many tourists and even the mainlanders.
