Re: UA B787-10 to PVG from SFO/LAX, will yields suffer?

That is one long flight for 78X, especially westbound from LAX. Would think they would just consolidate their PVG operations from California at SFO, since AA, DL, and MU all operate LAX-PVG. I think DL, AA and MU should quit the route now that UA is flying the 787-10. What's the logic behind that t...

Anyone insight on how many of the total 763 fleet United planning to refit this configuration with? Would't the 764 have been a better aircraft for this kind of refit? 7 complete 2 in mod and 8 still need to go to mod. About half done. Re: Cleveland Aviation Thread - 2019

In my personal opinion, I thinks AAs decision to add CVG-PHX was a poor choice. The market there is going to be incredibly over saturated. Now between Delta, Frontier, Southwest and now American. 787-9 - 37 (reduction from 88 in current config) IMO, this is a MASSIVE, MASSIVE downgrade, considering that the 789s fly United's longest routes. Premium Economy (21) plus E+ is only 58 seats on this airplane, meaning 12 Economy pax, most likely Premier members, will be forced into standard Y seat...

The 787-8 at 30% higher OEW than a 767-300ER is going to be way much airplane for a lot of routes. The additional seats on the 788 will be way less than 30% thereby reducing the margins of the 788s lower operating costs. The 788 is a very heavy “plastic” airplane. UA is "testing" this the...
