I could see them adding MAD-YYZ, YUL and EWR. JFK/BOS/IAD in the winter months makes sense replacing A330's and A350. Other more distant possibilities could be MAD-MCO, LAD and DXB.

It seems unlikely EK will expand in China given they recently downgauged DXB-PVG from a A380 to 77W and will be not be increasing PEK and CAN to A380's. They tried Zhengzhou and Yinchuan and ended those well before the pandemic. EY also recently canceled CAN-AUH and reduced frequencies in PVG and PKX.

There are videos of the aircraft experiencing flames out of the engines on takeoff. Similar to the AA 738 birdstrike last week in CMH. T8 will be awfully crowded at times especially in the evening rush. I do hope AA has thought this through. The security checkpoint situation is not ideal. Alaska is actually returning to T8, when they first started flying to JFK from SEA in 2015, pre VX merger, they flew from T8.

A 738, N846NN/3GA was involved in a birdstrike at MCI on November 15th operating AA1855 from ORD and received substantial damage in the nose, wing and engines.
