I do not understand why DL deserves more route authorities than UA or AA. AA should have atleast gotten 3 authorities and started service from LAS. I hope AA challenges this ruling.

Any chance AI is trying to add another slot or 2 at LHR and capitalize on 9W'S demise? Could a 77W be justified on BOM-LHR-BOM and DEL-LHR-DEL additional AI services? If so AI might tweaking their schedule if they can obtain additional slots or replacing 787'S with their 77W'S for additional capacity

Was 9W'S international flights to Europe profitable? If so could EY or the Tata's buy or lease 9W'S widebody fleet and enough 737'S to connect those flights and run a limited domestic network out of BOM and DEL? With 9W losing their LHR slots are the former CDG and AMS routes profitable on their own?

Should SG look into leasing 5 or 6 9W'S 77W assuming EY will lease them the 9W slots at LHR to restart BOM and DEL-LHR routes? I am assuming there is enough demand for another carrier on the route. Did most of EA L1011's fleet wind up with DL? I seem to remember alot wound up flying with DL but the grey matter between ears is not as it once was.

Where did the IL-62Ms go after leaving Interflug? SU or one of the new airlines started with the break up SU,at one point HY had IL-62Ms as well as A310-300. Tashkent had a major repair facility for IL-62's.

I believe LAX-MIA was 2x morning departure and redeye departure from LAX for a peroid of time in the late 70'S and early 80'S. Yes both NAS and FLL were served by WA DC-10'S. Will get flight numbers as soon as I dig out old schedules.

Perhaps a stupid question. How prepared is PDX for snow conditions. From what I heard 2" to 4" was expected in the PDX area. Sure they have equipment to deal with it. How often does PDX area see snow or freezing(icing) issues?

I for one was somewhat surprised that Boeing and Mitsubishi did not form agreement in regards to the aviation sector of Mitsubishi businesses based on previous deals between the companies. I would not be surprised if Mitsubishi will be involved with the 797 program if launched.

As much as I would like to see Level acquire 787 aircraft, I believe this is an A330NEO battle to lose. Fleet compatibility with IB will be the deciding consideration unless Airbus is unwilling or unable to make a competitive bid.
