I always wondered why the Yak-40 did not operate for more carriers in developing countries in Africa, South and Central America. Would have been useful in Alaska and Northern Canada. Could operate from dirt fields and less developed airports.Jump to post
I would say as most 744'S are most likely paid off and Saudi's increasing oil production meaning cheaper fuel, if anything means airlines might be considering hanging on to airframes with cycles left on the frames and defer deliveries of new aircraft..Jump to post

At some point AI is going to need more long range aircraft. More 787'S, A321XLR'S or A350'S. I could see more 787'S and A321XLR short term and perhaps a future order for A359'S.
Would the 78J be a good aircraft for LHR and other high demand european airports?
