RE: EK Postpones PTY?

I'm sure it has a little to do with forward bookings, but usually EK isn't shy at spending money to (hopefully) make money. My bet is it's the crew shortage. Houston loads weren't good so they needed to put a 777 on it, but no extra 777 avai...

Pilot Shortage: Where'd All The Pilots Go?

Came across a very interesting article today. I think this would be applicable to more industries than my own, but highlights some key issues facing aviation today. What are your guys thoughts?

RE: Qantas Returns To YVR. SYD Nonstop Jan 2015

I would wager a bet that they've already taken a payment by some sort of group that guarantees the operating cost of the flight and now they're opening up the remaining seats instead of running it purely as a charter. I have a few friends at Qantas and this will certainly be welcome news compared to...

I'm a little bit behind here, but I fly this airway quite frequently (from Singapore) and as someone has mentioned, very common to be held down for long periods of time. Cebu Pacific Aircraft Skids Off Runway In Davao

Well I think in general there is going to be a lot of hear say. All I can comment on is the evacuation. I would absolutely not evacuate an aircraft if there wasn't a need to. I would seriously doubt that the captain would not evacuate the aircraft if the engines were on fire when they came to a halt...
