CSA are not good indicators of an airports potential because it can include multiple airports, as well as multiple MSA, that's why Airlines focus more on MSA. ^I should add, we haven't had 9.7m pax in a while--since 2009 when we had 9.715M pax, which was down from 11.1M the previous year.... In 2007 CLE had 11.5M pax.

The list would be too long to mention here. If you can't stop sea level from rising, it seems like the only solution is to build dykes around them. I read somewhere else that "tires were deflated" though the image a few posts up don't show that. Assuming the author meant 'deflated' upon landing--why would that occur--ultra hot asphalt from construction or some treatment to concrete that was yet to dry?

If FI went from 5 days to 7 days in CLE they may see better returns as people still opt for the major alliances because there is no service for some on one or both directions of their trip. I know they offer flights to CLE via BOS (B6) on those days, but that makes EUR-CLE two stops vs. 1 stop at AT...

It may be luxurious, but I would never do it---I'd take a later flight even if it meant connecting somewhere. But its true--there are many many flights that leave before 7am--poor travelers!

^What a vacation-killer. You spend a relaxing week in Florida, then have to wake up at 5 or 6am on Saturday to catch a flight back to CLE. Its kind of funny that people put so much expectation into WN's schedule 'extensions' for CLE only to be always and forever disappointed.

If CLE gets AS, you can bet that a subsidy will also be used. We used one for SLC, and we will have to use one for SEA. If CLE subsidizes AS they would be required to also subsidize F9. Just heard that AS will begin CMH-SEA service in March 2019. CLE-SEA has about 75% MORE demand than does CMH. Makes no sense.

Why did Jackson want CDG over AMS? More prestige in some circles, better connections, and I suppose some of the local companies with French divisions like Lubrizol may have whispered in his ear. I could see greater tourism to Paris over AMS. But for business, isn't AMS the better city for Cleveland?

Is each city pair specific to one airline? For example, under the GSA contract is CLE-LGA only with airline X, while CLE-XXX is only with airline Y. And are all routes domestic or are there some int'l destinations?

No, WW did not drop CLE. Its service on CLE-KEF is seasonal, so it "dropped" it for the winter. It is expected to return in the Spring. Not sure if Spring has been loaded yet. None the less, CLE still has unserved demand, so I would expect someone to step forth soon: DY, DL, LH, EI, BA...

Thanks for runway update. Was at the Stadium on Friday night and saw from my seat that the Burke runway was closed. Must have reopened. ^that may be true. but certainly at least Teterboro. With proper times and frequencies (4x daily), it would be a successful route. (Their last "NYC" attempt was pure Jersey at MMU and forced pax from both origins to over night it 1-3 days in the other cities--it failed pretty quickly).
