I read somewhere that JL has exclusive offering of Salon Brut Champagne in their international First Class. It retails for approx US$500 per bottle, so its not hard to imagine many thousands of dollars spent each day on that one type of drink alone.

Let me be the first to say welcome to ANet! I think everyone lurks here long before they join. I'm not surprised if a drone has hit an aircraft. Even if the aircraft suffered no damage, the drone most certainly did and it would have fallen, creating the danger of damage or injury wherever it fell.

Quieter airport surrounds as the number of 787 and hopefully A380 and A350 flights increases and their noise footprint decreases overall airport noise. This has to be a noticeable improvement over the squealing engines of the 707, 727, 737-200 and so on.

A passenger recorded the pilot's slurred announcement and the video is freely available online. After this, some passengers chose to remove themselves from the flight. There's no way this incident could be covered up with upset passengers and the various videos available as evidence.

By "improved martial arts skills", I meant that flight crews are probably taught basic ways to quickly subdue someone who is trying to hit someone. I assume that any such 'grab, twist, subdue' techniques are rooted in some branch of martial arts.
