23R at TYS is currently being rebuilt. Not sure if it is being extended as well. Airport sits on a hill, so I don't think it could be extended too much. Maybe on the southwest end.

For clarity, It isn't as if Atlas hasn't been able to get it up and running. At this point in the calendar the staffing model hasn't become impossible. Later this year could get quite interesting, however. Amazon chose to have Atlas staff the hot spare in ABE. Crews have been staffing reserve in ABE...

There is some talk that the next Atlas route will be SEA-ABE starting in late March. I think you will find that that route will be operated by ATI as of 4/1. BI: Two and sometimes-three of the ATI 767-200s have been down for maintenance the last few days, so ABX has been covering. When they have a 3100-series flight number, it's ABX's route. Continental Express used to have PSP-IAH, BFL-IAH, PHX-IAH, and DEN-IAH on the E45X. Additionally there were red-eye departures through Mexico from LAX. LAX-BJX-IAH, LAX-AGU-IAH, LAX-MLM-IAH and I think LAX-QRO-IAH. For a time DL also had LAX-MFE as a redeye on an RJ. Most of these ended in 2008 or ...

Quick question re: deadheading flight crew HNL. This might be a contract issue so i'm asking: I know DH is usually considered "on duty", however if in an F seat, is the flight to HNL also considered part of the rest period for a pilot having maybe a 12 hr total day? If deadheading into an...

If you look around and your shade is the only one up, do a little self evaluation and be courteous. This isn't difficult. Atlas/Polar use Pyongyang FIR when flying US-ICN/HKG when the winds require flying further north. The route doesn't actually overfly the land in N. Korea though. All over water east of the peninsula.
