Re: Air Canada A220 launch - Interior Picture and New routes

Looks like the A220 will start flying domestic first between YUL-YYC & YUL-YWG taking over some A319 routes as expected. Of course it can change anytime especially with the MAX8 grounding but a good pointer in case anyone wants to fly the first commercial flights. No surprise that this will show...

Re: Air Canada A220 launch - Interior Picture and New routes

RJ masquerading as a mainline aircraft. Three-abreast on one side with tiny armrests and very narrow seats. Way too uncomfortable for YUL-SEA. I've flown on this aircraft (Swiss A223) and it's noticably more roomy and comfortable in Y than the standard B737/A320 fare. The seats are noticeably wider...

They have IFE in Y as well. The Y cabin is actually identical to the first 6 A321 NEOs so the only difference is the J cabin which have Collins MiQ recliners instead of lie flats.

Re: Philippine Aviation Thread - 2019

Because we do not know if A220 or MRJ is feasible for local airlines, as an alternative to turboprops. It's up on BOD and top executives if they will order those regional jets for smaller airports served usually by turboprops. I guess you missed my description of the airplane layout and did not kno...

Re: Three Class Narrowbodies

If I'm not mistaken, I think Philippine Airlines operates 3 class A321. Depends on how you look at it. By definition of this thread, Philippine Airlines does not operate a 3 class A321 even though they are marketing it as such. Their so called "premium economy" has the same seat as standa...

Main Cabin Extra. https://skift.com/2018/07/19/american-airlines-upgrades-its-economy-experience-with-main-cabin-extra-seating/ Did you even look at the linked seat map before posting No. ? If you’re going with that, you can call every narrowbody mainline plane in AA’s fleet “3 class”. If it's a di...

Re: First 787-9 for WestJet rolls out of paintshop

It is "Clive Beddoe" underneath that grey tape up front. There was a closeup shot of the nose where you can clearly see the name if you zoomed in but I believe it was pulled by WestJet. Perhaps the next tails will bear the names of the other founders as well.

First AC Express Q400 in the new livery

First AC Express Q400 to wear the new livery. Looking good! Not sure if it would've looked better with black engine cowlings though.

Gotta admit, I'll miss that callsign.

Re: Air Canada 737max Inaugural flight

Once these buggers are all delivered between our 2 major airlines, Canada will be MAX'ed out. :) I don't despise them but I just prefer the A320 series. I hope they send most of the CS300s out west where I normally fly out of. Keep the A321s here too while we're at it. Is it just me or those big scr...

Don't get your hopes up about the new livery. From a few sources, it's either been put on hold or shelved completely.

Now, looking forward to the A350 in the current colours..

Slightly revised "EXPRESS" titles on this one which are in uppercase instead of the lowercase titles on previous repaints.
I could say the same about the divider comment, there is certainly one but hard to see with this picture. I’m familiar with both the seats on this plane and the ones their current fleet has (blue upholstery). Doesn’t look comfortable.
Yup, I’m familiar with both as wel...

Re: Air Canada receives first 737 MAX

Your looking at a seatback and making that judgement cal, how about you actually sit in first.. Cabin looks nice but it’s a little odd that there is no divider between J and Y. There is a divider right where the maintenance guy is. You can actually see the screens mounted on the wall for the econom...
