RE: Lack Of "turkey Feathers" On F-15 And B-1B

I have a question. In full afterburner, do these turkey feathers close or open? I've seen pictures of F-16's taking off and some show the exhaust outlet closed and some open. The same with inflight photos I've scene. There's a video on YouTube of an F-16 in full afterburner tests, achored to the gro...

I've never thought about that, but I don't believe it was. Steelcase has two Falcon Jets, and I believe Amway has a Lear and 727. It was a little gray, but I do believe the winglets on the BBJ would have stood out.

Mysterious 737 Or 319

Last Thursday I looked out my office window to see a mysterious looking 737 or 319 took off from GRR, Gerald R Ford International Airport (formally and more liked Kent County Intl) in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I say mysterious because it obviously had a different color paint scheme, and true to Michig...

I was browsing the Aviation Week's photo gallery and came across a photo of an A340 with what appears to be two different size engines. Am I seeing things differently, or are they really of different size? And does anyone know why?

An Airbus competitor in 3 to 4 years? Boeing doesn't have the resources to develop both the Sonic Cruiser and the 747X so where would Airbus find the money for such a similar endevor? It definitely won't be from the price they sold the 380 to their launch customers. The 380 and the Sonic Cruiser (if...

I believe BA wants to trade in its 744 for 777, not so much because of capacity but rather profitability. Profitability in what is not apparently obvious. If I'm not mistaken, an airlines value is partly based on its fleet. BA has a large number of 744's in it's fleet, and what has become increasing...

What I don't understand is why doesn't Boeing extend the length of the upper deck to compete with the 3XX? This way you could have too airliners better compete seat for seat, rather than the 3XX having a 30 seat advantage right from the get go.

I fly out of GRR, where Northwest is the major provider. I have fewer flights to choose from, but I fly UA or AA, not because they are necessarily better airlines, but I'd rather take my chances out of ORD than deal with the hassle of DTW. For a major airport, I can't believe DTW is as bad as it is.

I think you need to look beyond the total numbers of 777 sales, which are still very good, and look at how the airplane has helped Boeing in other areas. When you uninstalled FS2000, did you delete the FS2000 folder in Windows Explorer? If you have a crack for FS2000 to bypass the use of the cd, the new FS2000 patch will disable the crack....always asking for the disk.
