Hard to see them spending a lot of money developing this engine unless that had customers lined up. Chicken and egg - if they didn't spend the money and have the technology available, they wouldn't be ready when an airframe does need it. Not clear how reducing the penalties for motoring offences is a good idea. How are the penalties being reduced? You still have to pay the appropriate fine or other penalty for a minor traffic offence, but you don't end up being branded a criminal. Not seeing the issue here. Because it is not regard...
