There's a rumour circulating that AirAsia X may commence services to Auckland via the Gold Coast from the end of the year. I don't think this comes as a big surprise as I think D7 has previously flagged Auckland services via Australia.

Per JetGo's Facebook page the airline will announce a new destination this coming Tuesday 8 September. Speculation suggests that the new route could be Sydney and Brisbane to Narrabri.
