Re: LOT News Thread - 2019

I have always wondered why some people love to get angry at airlines trying new routes... Seems like the only airlines entitled to fly are the US3 and some of the european ones as long as it is not to destinations like say MEX, HAN, MVD, PUJ... I for one wish LO the best in HAN. Flew them once from ...

Re: Aeroflot’s first A350 routes (and layout)

I might be wrong but studied their longhaul after using Momondo to search for flights. Apparently transfer at Sheremetjevo requires you to go landside and thus you need a visa so Aeroflot is out of the question. No need for that when connecting from international to international flight. Please see...

Re: How is NH's NRT-MEX flight doing 2 years in!?

Hi! I do not know hard facts, but I have flown both AM and NH to NRT and back and while NH is far superior in terms of service, AM flights were fuller than NHs. NH planes are premium heavy, so there are only a few Y class seats; J seemed to be quite empty and Y had a lot of free seats. On AM there w...

TK's MEX flight question

Some time ago, TK announced it would be starting to fly to MEX in August '19. The flights are already bookable on their website on W, F, and Sun for the outbound and M, Th, and Sat for the inbound. The inbound flight, besides having an inconvenient departure time, has a short stop in CUN. TK states ...

Re: If Beirut-US flights return, which cities could gain service?

Slightly off-topic, but a very telling anecdote about how people in LEB live in La-La-Land. In the summer of 2014 I was sitting at a lunch with family and friends at someone's nice house in the mountains North of Beirut. Many expats/diaspora, and all were raving how fantastic the country was, how s...

IST-MEX can be done with a 787 as is actually shorter than the existing MEX-NRT. But I doubt Aeromexico is interested on this route due to the small O/D market.
